This is our second visit to this beautiful quaint cottage. Staying in the stable cottage it is a decent sized double bedroom apartment. The people who own this place are really lovely and we were greated with homemade scones! Highly recommend this place if you want a nice break from the city.

This is the fifth time we have been to East Greystone. There is absolutely everything you would need for a relaxing stay. Just watching the animals and birds from the window is worth a hundred therapy sesions. Gainford is ideally suited for trips out. One day we had a beautiful day in the lakes. ( about an hour and a... Sue and her husband are always on hand should you need them but are never intrusive. Nothing seems to be too much trouble and lots of details have been thought of that most cottages seem to forget about. The self catering facilities were beyond expectation. Very happy to recommend for a relaxing stay in beautiful countyside on a working farm.

We stayed in the Stable over Christmas with our grown up daughter and one Grandmother. It is the first time we have been to a self catering holiday where the owners have thought of EVERYTHING and it's all provided. No need for us to pop out to the shops for all the bits and pieces that you always have at... More

Very friendly owners made this a real home from home, on a bus route to Darlington that runs every half hour. Great base, lots of home comforts really enjoyed our stay the variety of farm animals and... More

We stayed in the Stable Cottage at East Greystone Farm. The accomodation was clean and comfortable but what really stood out was the warm and friendly welcome from the owners. The welcome hamper of homemade bread, milk, butter (mini eggs) and homemade hot cross buns was lovely. We were encouraged to look around the farm and my daughter loved the... More
