Camping in the rain! Yes this campsite got very muddy and water logged but if you decide to camp in woodland what should you expect. We had to repitch after our original pitch developed its own lake! This was one of the most costly site, charging you for pitch based on tent size and then the number of people. I... More

1 star for the friendliness of the staff, 1 star for the price. This site could be excellent with some TLC and proper control but both are sadly lacking. We stayed from last Thurs until Bank holiday Monday and our holiday was completely spoiled mainly by the lack of sleep. The site is noisy with no warden controlling behavior (some... More

What can I say...the toilets were disgusting, didn't seemed to be cleaned. The ground was very boggy with big puddles everywhere. The ground was very uneven and impossible to pitch on level ground. Very disappointing and would definitely not return.

My son and I have stayed here 4 years in a row now and we love it. The setting is beautiful and it is fantastic for kids. Yes it does get a bit water logged in heavy rain but it is all grass so it would and they can't control the weather. The staff are lovely, very friendly and go... More

Visited over the August bank holiday weekend. Nice setting. Staff clueless about pitches - a free for all it seems. Facilities filthy with a mop and bucket of muddy water used to 'clean the floor'. This improved from Saturday afternoon with cleaning improved daily. Facility still really grim though. Pitched close to 'club house'. Music was a reasonable level on... More

This campsite gets very muddy and water logged. The cleanliness was bad but the showers were good and hot. The facilities were good but again very dirty. Games in the gamesroom and dryers in the laundry room needed tokens but shop was not open enough. The staff and takeaway were nice but not enough to make me go again.

Travelling in our caravanette, we didn't stay long at Beacon Hill, as we were heading for the ferry the morning after. Still, we found the site very amenable with adequate facilities which were kept clean and well serviced. There are play areas for children and, being sited in an area of forest, pleasant walks to be enjoyed. Unfortunately for us... More

We went as a group of 4 families all with young children (all under 10) & stayed for 3 days.We had an excellent pitch in Playing Field at the top of the site, close to toilets & showers (which are free not like at some campsites I've visited) which were very clean at all times. We didn't use the bar... More

We had a fab stay at Beacon Hill Campsite. It was an emergency, single night stay as we missed the Chsnnrl Ferry due to hideous traffic jams on the way down. The staff were friendly and accommodating when I rang them and very helpful when we arrived. We found a pitch, there was space, lots of green, forest walks and... More
