We went for our post school run coffee and cake to try it out. The staff could not tell us what the cake was. No pastries on offer either. The cakes looked like they had been sitting around for awhile and tasted like it too. The coffee was nice and the view and location is fantastic. Even with the coffee... More

I've been here a few times...it's really a place to go for a few drinks and to sit outside and make the most of the views on a clear, sunny day. Some staff are good some are awful...there used to be a moody and unhelpful Scottish girl working there who i believe was the bar manager...haven't seen her recently so... More

This is a wonderful hotel with great views. Mother staff are very friendly, the rooms are good and breakfast is fantastic. What is really nice is the hotel is tucked away from most of the hustle of Poole Bay, but you are ten minutes from Poole, Sandbanks or Bournemouth!

Not our first or our last stay in this friendly well run hotel, that's pet friendly and has large rooms with lovely views across the marina and Poole harbour. Great location for visiting the Jurassic coast and surrounding countryside. Already booked another stay.

We stopped for three nights toward the end of a three week driving vacation in the UK. We were looking for something near the sea; Salterns was a perfect choice. The room was huge, good bathroom, very comfortable beds, excellent and hearty breakfast choices. Staff were all wonderful. Area is filled with things to do. A great stay

Called here on journey home as they were showing availability on a booking web site, on arrival we were upgraded to harbour facing room for the same price, the service received from Karrie was outstanding and i must say all the staff were a credit to the hotel, breakfast was cooked fresh and not a buffet style, all in all... Very pleasant spot to have a drink and/or bistro style meal in the afternoon. Overlooks a marina. Family friendly so beware kids running around. Reasonable menu but it's a big place so don't expect anything special. Would have expected more fish dishes given that it's in Poole...

A very dated hotel on the edge of the seafront that had been used as a military base in WW11. The good things; convenient for Poole and Sandbanks, easy to park, great waterfront location, rooms were a good size and staff were very helpful producing breakfast before 8.30 on a Sunday and the noise from the wedding disco couldn't be... The location was great with stunning views across the harbour to Brownsie island and over the boats docked in the mornings, a lovely patio and garden seating area fabulous. The inside of the hotel was clean, bright and well maintained. The reception was manned by a sweet young lady who inform us even though we had paid before we arrived... More

I chose to have my husbands birthday celebration here after having a really nice meal in their restaurant the previous month and then again for Mothers Day... I am so glad I did!! The whole stay was fantastic.. We had a lovely spacious corner room with amazing views of the harbour...perfect! In the evening we had a birthday meal for... More
