Stayed here on a Groupon for one night, lovely big room, huge bed and a great harbour view, very clean and comfortable. Had a lovely meal in the bar area and a tasty breakfast. Enjoyable stay, thank you.

Great location, large room, lovely staff. Delicious food in the restaurant. The chef is wonderful. The sea bass is fantastic. The desserts are not to be missed! Our room was clean, well stocked with amenities. The mattresses could stand to be replaced with new ones, but they are fine for a 1-2 night stay. We will stay here again. (No... More

Having read what must be said were very mixed reviews,we arrived with some trepidation.Room was VERY large with stunning views of the marina and Poole harbour.Clean and bright if perhaps a little dated-felt a bit like being on the set of the tv series Howard's Way.Being January was quiet and no problems parking.Excellent cooked breakfast Did what it said on... We booked for this last May and I'd been looking forward to it. I wasn't disappointed, this place really is superb. We had a lovely room with a sea view and what a view too, overlooking Sandbanks, Brownsea Island and the entrance to Poole Harbour. The evening itself was brilliant, a six-course dinner with disco afterwards until well after midnight.... More

Went to Salterns for Xmas party meal. Dreadful. Food cold. Too noisy. Rushed staff. Air con too cold if sitting on table near the Bar. Standard of Staff poor especially one short, large, greasy greyish haired woman who stored pens above the pony tail. Who is that woman.???

I have to agree with some other reviews that the hotel could do with some modernisation but it is very reasonably priced, a lovely location, good parking and a lovely great breakfast. Even though there was a Christmas party going on in the function room, my room was very quiet. The room was clean and spacious and the staff friendly... More

Staff and service not great. Sat at dinner and one member of staff who was obviously feeling very unwell stood around coughing, spluttering and complaining about being ill....all right next to us as we were eating our meal. The actual food was not great and terribly overpriced. Staff didn't smile and I overheard them complaining about various customers. The room... More

We love this hotel, partly because we got married here but we keep coming back for meals with the family and for relaxing breaks by ourselves. The views across Poole Harbour which are available from many of the rooms, are breathtaking. The bar area is frequented as much by locals as by hotel guests and the bar food is always... More

Had an early start and attended a BNI breakfast here. The staff were probably more awake than I was!! The room was huge so easily lent itself to networking and breakfast. The hot breakfast was lovely with lots of tea/coffee/juice. The ladies bathroom is very pink, and was very clean.
