Staff and service not great. Sat at dinner and one member of staff who was obviously feeling very unwell stood around coughing, spluttering and complaining about being ill....all right next to us as we were eating our meal. The actual food was not great and terribly overpriced. Staff didn't smile and I overheard them complaining about various customers. The room... More

We love this hotel, partly because we got married here but we keep coming back for meals with the family and for relaxing breaks by ourselves. The views across Poole Harbour which are available from many of the rooms, are breathtaking. The bar area is frequented as much by locals as by hotel guests and the bar food is always... More

Had an early start and attended a BNI breakfast here. The staff were probably more awake than I was!! The room was huge so easily lent itself to networking and breakfast. The hot breakfast was lovely with lots of tea/coffee/juice. The ladies bathroom is very pink, and was very clean.

We stayed at the Salterns as part of a wedding party weekend. Both the party and the overnight stay were brilliant. The members of staff who hosted the party were a delight, and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast staff did an amazing job with the numbers who arrived all at once. Our bedroom had the loveliest of views... More

Held my wedding party at Salterns Harbourside Hotel on Saturday and I couldn't have asked for a better day. The staff were amazing both during the planning stages & on the day - nothing was too much bother for them. The food was excellent in both quality & quantity. The room was decorated beautifully. The setting is stunning! Many of... More

very helpful reception staff, bar staff didn't know how to smile, restaurant staff pleasant, although we had an hour wait for our breakfast. The room was large but one of the beds was like sleeping on a spring! Good sized bathroom with a decent shower which make a change! Agree with some of the other reviews though as it could... More

Recently stayed here for a couple of nights and feel that the holtel is overpriced for the standard of accommodation in particular the decoration. this being very tired and dated. Whilst we don't spend too much time in a hotel general with so much to see and do it only caused us slight disappointment. If I was going back to... More

Noisy weekend. For the price we paid for 2 nights and even getting a free upgrade due to evening parties not overly impressed with this hotel. Room was really hot due to South facing window and wouldn't cool down even with windows fully open. Must be horrible during summer months. Room was by the main stairs so lots of noise... More

The views are second to none, the food is ok but a tad expensive for the quality. Like a rabbit warren trying to find the room and was quite difficult with my suit case the, room was very large and nice a quiet but needed some modernisation, decor was a little tired and the same with the the bathroom ie...
