We stayed on the Sunday deal that they have at the moment where you spend £75+ in the bistro for a cheaper room. The room was lovely. Well set out and very comfortable. We had a few problems with the air conditioning, but the staff were really helpful and fixed everything for us. Our problem with the stay was the... More

Although the decor is lovely, and the rooms, restaurant and terrace are clean, tasteful and pleasant to be in, the thing that let's this hotel down is the lack of staffing. There were so many mistakes with our bookings, meals, stay (even little things such as our newspaper wasn't delivered) that it just seemed that the staff were too stretched.... More

I stayed for one night, and I wish that I had more time to enjoy this beautiful hotel. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly and smiley. We had a standard room with the biggest bed I have ever seen! Very comfortable nights sleep despite the storm raging outside. Breakfast was delicious with a great amount of choice, and... More

I just love my stays at the HDV Poole, it is one of the most comfortable and welcoming hotels I have used and I use Hotels every single week. All the rooms are very well equipped, bathrooms are extraordinarily clean and most importantly for me I always get a great nights sleep in the super comfy beds. The food is... More

We stayed here for a night to meet up with some friends. We only paid £90 for a lovely, well equipped double room so no complaint about that. Nice balcony but rubbish view of nothing! The deal was to eat in the bistro which we did and the food was good although they had rung out of all my favouriteson... More

Myself and my wife stayed here for four nights and, in the main, enjoyed the experience. The hotel is about 100 meters from the Quay road which initially passes part of the docks, then the pleasure boats for harbour trips and then further on down to where the harbour really opens out with beaches. All this within healthy walking distance.... More

We booked two superior rooms with terrace (Krug & the one next door) which were dark, felt a little damp, the bed was small, bathroom tired and terrace completely overlooked by what we think was office block or flats next door - at £180 per night we were not happy. When the manager (Claire Rockett) heard of our displeasure she... More

Dear NannyBrighton, Many thanks for your time writing your review. Our rooms do vary in size and as we are not directly on the Quay, some residential homes are close. It is refreshing to hear that the efforts of our staff and Clare's have been recognised. I will pass on your comments to all relevant departments. Kind regards HdV Poole More

We were looking for a one night stay and wanted something a little bit special and in a great location. So often hotels bill themselves as luxury or high end and fall short and disappoint - The Hotel du Vin, did not disappoint. We booked a superior room with a claw foot bath in the bedroom. The super king bed... More
