beautiful views that feel magical, Rooms are compact but fine. Second 1 night stay , the first being in summer !!! 2008. Despite it being middle of winter was just as impressed as when visiting on a warm summers day. Our room was nice, it had a small balcony with a table and chairs with a beautiful view of Sandbanks, the harbour and Brownsea Island. We only stayed here for one night as guests at a wedding reception held at the hotel. I'm pleased we had a reduced price (£99 per person per night) however I still think this was overpriced for what you got. The worst good hotel we've ever visited. HH is set back 200 metres from the Sandbanks to Poole road and offers lovely, if slightly obscured views across the harbour. The hotel is well maintained and the food is very good and reasonably priced if you go for the £30 a head 3-course set menu. Unfortunately that's where the compliments end.... more
