I remember, not that long ago, when you could get a decent B&B for £30 a night, and £50 would get you something extra special. Nowadays, prices for one night in a B&B seem to have rocketed, and are often comparable to small hotel prices. The Quayside charged £75 for one night in a double room with breakfast. Yes, Poole... Nice B&B in a wonderful location, between the high street and the lovely Poole quay. The owner Teresa welcomed us warmly and the room was comfortable, spacious and very clean. Should I be back in Poole, I'd stay here again.

I stayed here on my own while doing some sightseeing and genealogical research in Poole. I couldn't have asked for a better location - directly across the street from the Poole Museum and History Centre, and a stone's throw from High Street shops, Thames Street, and (as the name indicates) the Quay. Right in the middle of the Old Town,... More

We stayed there at the end of June 2014 for 3 nights, and were happy with the accommodation, we stayed in a room on the first floor, it had a double bed and a single bed as we had asked for a twin room. A small flat screen TV, a tray with coffee/tea/biscuits were provided and refreshed every day. The... More

We stayed here for 2 nights recently (early June 2014) and enjoyed our visit very much. Ideally situated for everything the quayside has to offer in the old town. We stayed in room 7 and thought this room was lovely and spacious and ideal for what we were looking for. The room was clean and tidy with a comfortable bed... More

Stayed here last night, our room was very spacious (room 7) and very clean and airy. The landlady was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was of good quality and Therese was a charming hostess. We found the room rate to be reasonable. We would most definitely stay again and would have no worries in recommending Quayside to friends or family. Thank... More

We stayed there recently and the room we had was on the 2nd floor (top floor) which my wife and I thought was the old attic. The room is very small (pokey) just enough room to walk round the bed, the bathroom door opens practically against the bed, and the toilet/shower room was very very small, i would think if... More

Stayed here 8th May because of convenience for 8.30 am ferry. Welcoming hostess who allowed us to put bikes in dining room. Narrow hall way smelled of cigarette smoke. Tacky blue carpet on stairs. Small bed and bedroom. Garish bed linen. Tiny en suite in need of an update. Room cost £75 with £5 deduction for needing to leave before... More
