Had a great one night stay. Staff very helpful and friendly. I left my electronic toothbrush behind, and rang the hotel. They found the item and packaged it up and posted it back to me free of charge - Thank you so much! Will certainly stay again

Used the Abbington for 1 night with a colleague during a course. Staff were very friendly and helpful, food was good and affordable. The building looked well looked after and very clean. Decor a little dated and choice of beer (they ran out😞) was poor. Facilities were fine. Overall, great value and a recommendation from me

I celebrated my birthday here with a family group of 14. It was mid December and the it was all Christmasy, the children and adults loved it. Every aspect of the evening was fantastic. Food (could have fed 28 people), the staff and service, the bar and the room we stayed in, lovely breakfast too. The final delight was when... More

My Family had the pleasure of staying in this Hotel, they all had nothing but praise from the beautiful furnished rooms to the really comfy beds. The staff couldnt do enough for them and the breakfast was ideal.Would recommend this hotel to anyone. The Gallagher Family.

I stayed here for one night in the double with en suite. The room was clear, had a good nights sleep and appreciated the space to park my car. I liked the electronic shower. Would recommend staying here again.

A very clean and friendly hotel. A weird menu but the food was plentiful and cooked well even though I wasn't asked how I liked my steak cooked. Breakfast was excellent. The room we had had the tiniest bathroom ever but one of the best showers I have come across in a hotel of this class. Overall a pleasant stay... More

Breakfast was awful! advertised they did continental and when we got in they barely had anything other than a thousand packets of cereal. Stayed over for one night, the car park is gravel stones full of either dog or cat faeces, kids couldn't see where they were stepping in it and ended up driving 150 miles with the smell of... More

We booked rooms 9, 16 & 21 to attend a family party. Room 9 was small and noisy due to being off the corridor connecting the bar to the toilets. It was not possible to lock the door on the inside on room 16. All 3 rooms were in a poor state. Peeling wall paper, dents in doors & mould... More

First floor room was clean and comfortable although as we live in a very quite location I found the traffic noise a little intrusive as we were on the front of the hotel. Staff were friendly and efficient and the breakfast was excellent. The restaurant was not open on the Saturday evening nor was the bar although there are plenty... More

The nicest hotel we've stayed in for years. Very friendly, clean and confortable, great breakfasts and all at a reasonable price. Everything worked fine (TV and WiFi). Just a short walk from Stevenage Old Town.
