Visited last night with some friends after stumbling across the excellent Indian restaurant, authentic Indian cuisine, not the average menu, food excellent, fish curry especially. Nan bread was the best they had had according to my friends. This is a very old hotel so an oldie worldly feel and look, but never the less will be returning. Staff very polite,... More

An ok stay. Unusually the restaurant at this hotel is an Indian, food was excellent, the Fish Curry awesome. Breakfast ( not Indian) was also pretty good. The room was a little odd, recently refurbished with wooden floors. A rug would have made it more homely, it seemed a bit cold. Only real complaint was that the sheet on the... More

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in! Thankfully, I only needed to book for one night for a business trip, any more and I'd have cancelled. The room smelt musty and remained very prominent all night long. The heating was turned up as high as possible, and the thermostat on the radiator was broken so you couldn't turn it... More

One of the worst hotels I've been to. Musty smell hits you as you arrive. Room ok but very tired. A feeble shower in a tiny bathroom. The worst thing though was the food. The sign outside promised fine cuisine but everything I had was reheated or straight out of the freezer. I left early after only 3 nights with... More

Stayed here for business trip. Large room, cheap bar and friendly, helpful staff. Two gripes, £86 for as hotel of this type is about £20 too much and also an Indian restaurant operates inside and there is a permanently smell of Indian food in the corridors and reception area. I love a curry but the smell was too much for... More

We stayed at the Best Western for one night an were very impressed! We had a large kingsize room for two of us, which was clean and comfortable, and a modern bathroom with a lovely power shower. The hotel was quite quiet and the staff were multi-tasking to cover the reception, bar and restaurant, and they did a great job!... More
