Unavailable wifi, the entrance door doesn't work properly, no shampoo in the shower, I found hair in bed before using it, not enough towels for double room, poor cleaning, reception service unavailable at 10am.

Only needed to stay one night. The sign says luxury accommodation, well it isn't quite that but the room was ok and clean. Staff were helpful and the breakfast was good apart from there being no toast just bread and butter, however if all you're looking for is a bed for the night then this will do nicely

Stayed Sat 6th June. Needed somewhere handy to stay on the south side of Ipswich and found this place. Local area a bit run down but only a 15min walk to the main town centre. We paid £45 (compared to £68 for local Premier Inn) for a room for the night and were given room 6 which had a balcony... More

Only spent one night here thankfully. The room that we stayed in had stains all over the walls. Shower had hair all over it. No bin in the room, found a dead fly in the one of the beds sheets and cigarette butts in the cabinet.

We have just spent a very nice weekend in Ipswich, and booked into the shipwrights looking at the other reviews I was unsure to stay or not but other hotels I tried were booked so I thought it's only a bed and we will be out most of the time. Well I don't know why people were saying it's not... More

So good!! Only ate at the restaurant as live locally and spotted the new menu sign outside so thought we'd give it a go. After reading other reviews I was a little hesitant to try but the new menu looked great, and we were certainly not disappointed! Great food, great staff, great prices! The restaurant side has just been taken... More

Really very good! Can't understand other reviews - very friendly staff, clean and tidy room, new food menu is great. 3x fish and chips - tasty, filling and the staff couldn't be faulted. Can definitely recommend the Hunters Chicken! Exceptional service from the waitress, barmaid was lovely and close enough to walk into town for a night out. Recommended, will... More
