A very disappointing stay because of incessant road noise. Breakfast also a bit sad at the Little Chef.

The mentality of the highest ranking of management of Travelodge has to be questioned!!! It's a fairly standard Travelodge - nothing wrong with that. Staff were friendly. Rate was cheap. Close to nice places to eat but you have to drive. It can be a bit noisy depending on which part of the hotel you are in but I always take earplugs to any hotel!

This Travelodge has been refurbished and seemed clean, with new sheetboarding over the tiles in the bathroom. The TV was HD. A bit noisy if the window is open but the view out the back was over fields. Good service. Couldn'tfind the elevator,

Managed to bag a cheap room for stay on way to Harwich. Right on main road next to Little Chef. Sat Nav wanted to take us to next roundabout and double back but we got there in the end. Basic but clean as always. No frills but what do you expect for the price.

As with all Travelodges booked well in advance they offer truly excellent value for money. This particular hotel is well situated on A12 trunk road and although so close to the road the traffic noise was not particularly bad. Room clean and reasonably spacious, linen and bathroom fine.
