having just returned from a Bank Holiday Weekend in Ipswich we were really impressed with the Hotel. The room was spacious and quiet and all the staff very informative and friendly from the receptionists to the restaurant and bar staff and also the cleaning ladies who had a friendly word. The £20.00 dinner was really excellent and the breakfast too... more

Stayed here a couple of times, and like it. Its relaxed, staff are friendly, there is a nice swimming pool, bar area nice (drinks a bit pricey). Breakfast in the morning is OK lovely sausages :-) Would stay again. Its clean. Stayed in a few rooms and some are small especially the bathroom, but others are ok. Good for Disabled... more

My husband and I stayed for one night-we were given a family room which was almost Japanese in style and was spacious, very clean, quiet and had a comfortable bed-ask for one! Breakfast was buffet style and was good apart from the coffee-we changed to tea. All the staff we encounterd were cheerful and helpful. more

there was nothing majorly wrong with this place, but i did feel it was dated and the rooms were small, beds uncomfortable, and bathroom very small and dated. The service was generally ok, but i was unimpressed on arrival in that they couldn't find my booking, and the onus was then on me to start making phone calls to try... more

Hotel is about 3-4 miles from the center of Ipswich so you will need a car, or use the park and ride; this is about 1/2 mile away, hotel was clean, rooms were basic and also well kept, food was well presented, and staff were helpful, if you are at the back of the hotel you will have a long... more

Well, its improved compared to a year ago when I was last here. In fairness, its a perfectly acceptable place to stay for a night when you're in town on business. The rooms are clean. Everything works - although the air conditioning in my room was centrally controlled which meant the room was a bit hot and meant I left... more

I have stayed there many times over the last 8 years. It's out from the city centre so not great if you don't have a car. it has a small gym and swimming pool and is one of the few in / around the centre to have this (which is one of my reasons for staying there). I pretty much... more

This is a good hotel, with no major problems, but there are a lot of minor problems which could easily be resolved. The first thing I noticed and that other guests commented on was how dark the approach road is, you cannot see the sides of the roads when you are driving and it would be easy to put some... more

The lesson learned when approaching the property directly is to ask the receptionist for her best rate - GBP25 below the rack rate at 4pm in the afternoon. they can assess whether the hotel will be full or not. The room was good, if something of a walk from reception. There is no elevator/ lift to upper floors There does... more
