I recently had my son's 30th birthday party here, from start to finish all the staff from the event organiser to the bar staff could not have been more helpful. As his family and friends came from all over the country everybody decided to stay. The rooms were clean well equipped and spacious. The hot buffet food for the party... more

I liked this hotel as they had just had a refurb and so I was greeted with an XBox 360 in the main reception, so had something to do after a few beers in the bar. The hotel is by the main road, so its really for business trips, as it isnt particularly pretty either! The room I had was... more

I stayed here for one night with my hubby and two children (2 and 11). We all stayed in one (family) room and it was perfectly fine. In fact, we all had a great time and this is due mainly to the fact that the reception, restaurant and bar staff were just wonderful. They couldn't do enough to help and... more

The staff are friendly but the hotel policies are not. They are out to wring every penny from you. They charge you £9.99 for 24hrs internet or £7.99 for one hour! The breakfast was terrible, possibly the worst sawdust filled sausages and weak coffee I have ever had with runny scrambled eggs and bacon like cardboard. Upon departure a smiling... more

A very nice business hotel walking distance from the train station and to the town centre. Comfortable clean rooms and very pleasant staff. Nice bar, breakfast was very good. Couldn't really find any fault. more

This hotel is a bit bland - but I hugely prefer bland to quirky when quirky means the plumbing doesn't work! The room was large and had a two-seater sofa in it, as well as a very long desk/worktop area. As the room was so spacious, it was a bit of a puzzle that the double bed (with duvet) was... more

On my first visit i stayed in a lovely room which had a fantastic seperate shower and large bed and nice sofa. However the second time i stayed... more

I have been using this hotel for quite a while now as it is perfectly located for business reasons. Service has always been excellent and now that the hotel has been refurbished, the place looks great. Will definitely use again. more

Stayed at Novotel Ipswich for 2 nights in May. Used to live in Suffolk. Pleasantly surprised at size of room, clean, comfortable; excellent TV - looked very new. Friendly staff, food very nice, but rather expensive (especially breakfast) Everything clean, would stay again on the rate of £59 per night. Situation perfect for me, short walk into town, no roads... more

Loaction excellent, two minutes walk to the cinema, resturants, night club etc. Ten minutes walk to Ipswich football stadium, and only about the same walking distance from train station so very central. Also excellent were the reception team both during the day and late at night, very friendly and happy. The hotel was having a upgrade(not rooms though) which was... more
