I came in a business trip to Ipswich and my company booked me in this great small hotel. They used to be Holiday Inn and now it is a Premier Inn hotel, they are having some refurbishment there and it will look better than it is now. The people in reception are very friendly and willing to help you. I... more

A nice, comfortable hotel just outside the town. A bit of a pig to get to and not signposted (look for the sign for the Beagle Inn off the Hadleigh Road). You will definately need a car. It's very quiet and no frills - typical HI Express. Rooms are comfortable, my only minor gripe was I could have done with... more

Located away from the city centre but next door to a good pub/restaurant the hotel is a decent place to stay, exactly what you may expect from from this chain in fact. Our family room was large with enough room to walk around, clean and well equiped. We visited the Holiday Inn down the road where some friends were staying... more

Stayed here for 3 nights over Easter and was very nice. The hotel is typical of the brand and a nice clean up to date place. The location is a bit rural so much quieter than many on main roads, but it is still seconds from the main routes. Would agree, you need a car, there is not much in... more

Stayed here one night in January. Not a good location for a non-driver because all you have is the hotel and the pub next door. Pub good for food, which was just as well because the hotel's snack machines weren't working. They did have some free fruit on the check-in desk, but it looked old and tired. It also turned... more

Stayed here for 8 nights whilst in Ipswich in business. Room was comfortable and clean. Reception area has a couple of vending machines for midnight snacks. Breakfast is self serve continental. The dining area is a bit small and got crowded a few mornings. Best thing about the hotel is the Beagle pub next door. I ate there 6 nights... more

Just had an excellent three nights stay at this hotel. We took up the special offer of £39.00 a night and have paid much more for a hotel not up to these standards. Spotlessly clean, great breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff. The 'Beagle' next door added even more to this weekend with a varied menu serving excellent food.... more

This is a cracking little hotel, lovely and clean with good size rooms in a convenient location. All decorations were smart and bright. Lovely pub adjoining. Staff were really nice, very chatty, and extremely helpful. The internet connection was easy to use and reliable, if a little slow. But this is so much more than you get in other hotels... more

Clean, friendly, good value for money. Breakfast has less choice than other chains but is included in the price, still good. Showers not baths in rooms we used. The staff were amazed when I told them that one report here said they had fitness suite and pool - they have neither in spite of the fact that the internation directory... more

Easy to find - as you go into Ipswich from the A12/A14 junction, you'll see the Holiday Inn (NOT the express) on the left. Turn left immediately after this - over a set of traffic lights, then right at the roundabout. There, I have just cut half an hour off our journey time for you :) The staff were charming,... more
