Lovely friendly inn. Brilliant food, good prices have visited area on a few occasions & have nearly always stopped here for a meal. They even sell lemon lime & angostura bitters. Not many places sell this now so a absolute bonus, really nice drink. Would always visit if in area.

We have just returned from here after a 2 night stay. The room was small but had everything to make your stay worthwhile. An ensuite with a fantastic shower, freeview TV and tea making facilities. The breakfast was excellent. You could have a full English or cereal. On our last day we asked for scrambled egg on toast so they... More

Went to this old fashioned pub with my partner for a dinner on Friday night as just moved into the area. It's a small traditional pub, ok for a little drink. It's very busy and noisy. All the tables were reserved so we ended up sitting near the bar on a low table which isn't ideal for eating. My partner... More

Stopped here a month or two ago, and it is a lovely place to stay, but walls are really thin and you can hear things from surrounding rooms, especially at 6am when the person in the next room blasts there TV which is bolted to the wall the other side of my bed headboard. Otherwise a great stay.

We stayed here for one night in May 2015. Our en suite double (room 4) was quite small and a little crowded with furniture but very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The accommodation is in a separate building to the pub so nice and quiet, a little cold & tired in the corridors, but ultra cosy and warm... More

A group of us visited for an evening meal, on a dreary drizzly evening. The welcoming of the log fire was very appreciated, and the people behind the bar very friendly. The food was lovely and plenty of it. I loved the decor, and the outside play area for the children looked great fun. There was lots of outdoor seating,... More

Two of us stopped here for buisness, arrived late but owner said that was fine as we had told him in advance because we kept getting stuck on the M25. Srrived just in time for an evening meal, we both had steaks which were lovely!! I would certainly have another if stopped here again. Rooms were clean and tidy. Beds... More

Country pub plenty of parking. Visited here for lunch. Good value for money. Daily specials supplement the extensive menu. Good service and friendly staff. Prices c £8 to £10 for main courses. I tried ham egg and chips. The ham was good quality and plenty of it. My companion had homemade vegetable soup which came with a decent sized piece... More

I visited The Sorrel Horse for lunch with a friend inbetween Xmas and New Year. We had no trouble getting a table, and I had homemade Cottage Pie, and my friend had homemade Steak and Ale Pudding - both meals were stunning, good quality, generous portion sizes, and my friend asked for extra gravy which was provided with no problem....
