We arrived twenty minutes before the specified check in time and were made to feel guilty for arriving so early; even though we were the only guests there! The room wasn't cleaned. Biscuit crumbs were on the floor, remaining from previous customers i presume and the bathroom wasn't so clean either. The staff didn't really speak to us or make... More

This hotel is quaint, clean with efficient service that adds that feeling of being at home. The family that runs it affords every guest a warm and friendly welcome going beyond the extra mile. A definite must if staying overnight in Ipswich.

Stayed here for one night while working at an event in the area. Had the last single room which was clean, comfortable and the cooked breakfast was well cooked and quickly served. Would stay again when local

A nice, smart hotel with clean, cosy and well equipped rooms, a nice bar for the evening but no restaurant except for breakfast.Perfect for business travellers and a short trip to the town centre. Would recommend and will be using again.

My wife stayed here for the entire month of October on business and I visited her three times staying for six or seven nights in total. It's a family run hotel (rare in itself these days) with an array of truly fantastic framed film posters adorning the walls everywhere you look, giving it a quirky, welcoming and individual charm. The... More

The hotel is on a busy road close to a crossroads. With the exception of Sundays there is contiunous traffic noise from early morning to late evening. The bedroom was double glazed but even with everything closed the traffic noise still woke me early in the morning. Of course some rooms may be quieter. Breakfast (if included) is fairly generous... This was a discovery, a traditional country hotel set in a delightful neighborhood, only five minutes by taxi from the railroad station. The house breathes the near home comfort one seeks away from the big cities. Arriving on a hot Summer day for a weekend with friends in the country side, as I did, one appreciates finding a small but... More

An excellent stay. It is a beautiful, beautiful building! Very well decorated, with a lovely little court yard to relax in. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, I really can't fault it. Ok, so the film posters weren't my thing, but the rest of the decor is beautiful. Cracking value and very well placed for access into the town... More
