I picked this guest house based on price - you get what you pay for and although cheap it was still too expensive! It was tatty and had a damp smell, The bedroom was small and basic, the carpet was dirty, I didn't want to put my bare feet on it! The bathroom was just a cubicle, but saying that... More

I found this guest house after searching the area for a cheap room as I only needed a bed for the night after attending a wedding all day. I was able to check in early (11am) which was really useful as I needed to leave for the wedding at 12 and didn't want to take all my stuff with me.... More

The guest house was not clean. There was peeling paint and damp patches on the walls and it was generally in bad decorative order. The shower room was very unappealing and had someone else's damp towels left lying around. Breakfast was ok but sausages were pretty disgusting! The whole place just looked like it needed some love and attention and... More

I stayed here on a Friday and Saturday night. The location close to the station was great, although it is a bit of a walk into town for food and drink. The quality of the room, for the price, was OK. It was small, and the en suite in particular was tiny. However it was reasonably clean. The staff were... More

This is a place for the workers, defo not a place to take the wife. Welcoming staff, Tatty all round, but you get what you pay for. Room: Room was en-suite, well a Loo and a ill fitted shower cubicle at the end of the room, TV and Digital box could do with updating (Would not pick up many channels)... More

I stayed here Mon-Fri for a couple of weeks as I was working in Ipswich short term. This place is cheap and close to the station and town centre. It has car parking around the side. The building itself needs a lick of paint and new carpets but I found it to be clean and well presented. You get what... More

We booked this through Expedia on the back of some very short sighted reviewer's comments. The place was locked up at the front to start with, so we had to ring the bell to get in. Our first impressions were that a damp musty smell hit you straight away. The owner was friendly enough but we were immediately put off... More

This is a rather shabby, tatty place, the only reason we stayed here was because our normal place was block booked for a wedding and all other place were booked due to the Stockcar event taking place on this weekend. We booked the room with 3 beds and this was right at the top where there was little or no... More
