This guest house is located at very close the station although yes a bit away from the town centre. Although compared to other guest house which are equally far away from the town centre this one I think is the cheapest in town. The owners are very humble and helpful. Overall a good place to stay for a short while.

This was booked by myself for a work employee. When i spoke to the lady she was very polite yet did not confirm the booking by email or post as I requested. This comes over as a very unprofessional business. My employee that stayed was happy with the room he said it was a typical basic B & B. He... More

I was very surprised to see so much criticism for this place- it is £29 a night including breakfast! I stay all over the country as part of my occupation and working within tight budgets appreciate value for money. This suited me down to the ground as it served a purpose- it was warm, clean and the bed was comfortable.... More

This guest house is in need of some serious investment in its facilities, having stayed at the same guest house some ten years ago I would not be surprised if not a penny had been spent improving the place since this time. Arrival was pleasant enough, once the manager had answered the front door which seemed to take a very... More

As expected, old fashioned styled decoration but friendly service. Room was upgraded from single to double which was appreciated. Fine for one night, just could have done with a little bit more care and attention - e.g. burn holes in carpet and chair, shower door not closing fully. Otherwise it was very clean. My bed was soft which personally I... More

Visited the Bridge in December 2010, was in the Ipswich area on business and had originally booked at a nearby guest house, only to be informed the day before that the occupant of the room I had reserved was injured and had decided to remain in the room I was supposed to have until she was fit enough to drive... This is a basic guest house offering fantastic service for the price. I paid £29 per night. I travel often and this was the best b&b in this price range i have ever stayed at. I used late rooms and got an excellent deal. I phoned a few times to change my arrival time and the lady who dealt with... More

I stayed in bridge guest house in dec 2007 for two weeks for official work. My stay here was comfortable and the owners are non interfering. They made sure I had everything I needed and after that there wasn't much interaction with them, you can call them as and when you need some help; though the young woman, presumably the... More

This is a cheap and cheerful bed and breakfast. It has free internet access. My room had a newly refurbished bathroom which was fine. The staff are pleasant and friendly. It is a five minute walk from Ipswich railway station. The guest house is mainly populated by groups of men who work on building site and other projects. This means... More
