This was a superb Hotel, it was our first visit and we will certainly be back. Bob and Margaret are so friendly they really make you feel at home. From the tray of tea/coffee in the lounge on arrival. chocolates on the bed, even little chocolate biscuits on the Grandchildren's Beds.

Recently stayed at the Lansdowne for a four night stay (our third visit this year ) and as ever everything was spot on , we don't think you could get friendlier hosts in Margaret & Bob who make you feel welcome from the minute you check in to when you check out . The only place we would stay in... More

This is a very good B&B hotel very conveniently situated being only a short walk from the town centre. A real bonus is the honesty bar where guests can enjoy a drink in a very comfortable room at prices which rival Wetherspoons! Bob & Margaret are excellent hosts. The hotel though is not disabled friendly but if you contact Bob... More

From the moment we stepped into the hotel we were immediately greeted by Bob and invited to join him in the lounge for a tray of coffee which was unexpected and most welcome! The bedroom had the promised Kingsize bed and the both the room and bathroom were spick and span. Breakfast is excellent and Margaret is there to assist... More

We were visiting family in the north west and wanted a short break in North Wales. On looking for a hotel we were really impressed with the reviews that this hotel had had and it didn't disappoint. Great value, lovely room and facilities, fantastic hosts and a great breakfast! Ditch the chain hotels and support great local hotels.

My wife and I had a very nice 4 nights at the Lansdowne Hotel. Our room (2nd floor facing Abbey Rd) was spacious and clean. The shower was one of the best we’ve come across on our travels. A lot of older hotels have had the en-suite facilities added as an after thought but not here, loads of room. The... More

We stayed at the Lansdowne for four nights with four adults and two children. The family room was spacious and well kept, everywhere was clean and tidy and the hotel made a special effort to provide biscuits for the Children on their pillows which I thought was a lovely touch. Bob and Margaret were wonderful hosts and did everything above... More

Bob and Margaret have managed to create a very special place with the Lansdowne. It is everything you could wish for in a home from home. It is beautifully presented, and has fantastic rooms, including a superb lounge / bar. The inclusive breakfast is one of the best we have ever come across, served by extremely polite and friendly staff,... More
