At very short notice we decided to go to Llandudno. With very little availability we went with the Ambassador (via booking.com). On arrival we were told (politely) that we couldn't have a double as booked as they didn't have any (they blamed the internet co.). But we could have a twin with a view of the sea (which we had... more

Weekend trip for a treat . Very disappointed in the overall look of the Hotel (inside and out). The Hotel was clean and comfy but needs a complete refurb (decoration, furniture etc). We were disappointed when we arrived as we were really looking forward to a little bit of "luxury". We both like to dress up for dinner and in... more

Negative in house guide which sets the tone for the hotel. Everything is do not , you must not, you will be charged for. Food was appalling very little fresh food, the microwave must work overtime. This hotel needs to be completely refurbished and the owners need to see how bad they are compared to others. more

Having just returned from this hotel I was amazed to read some of the reviews given on this site. We have spent many happy holidays at this hotel over the past 5 years and have always found the staff most helpful and accommodating, particularly when we had to rearrange holiday dates due to family events. We have always found the... more

Following a period of ill health and unable to obtain insurance overseas, we went back to the old favourite in the UK, the Ambassador, last January The Family, Management, and all the staff (and I really do mean all) just quietly went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. Nothing was too much trouble, and the... more

I can only imagine that the positive reviews have been written by members of staff or the owners! We checked into a Spa room and it was filthy. Dust everywhere, grubby bathroom with tide-mark around the bath and "body hair" still present! The mattress was stained and the room smelled stale and unpleasant. The car park is as described by... more

I have stayed in many of the sea front hotels in Llandudno for work and this was a last minute booking at the Ambassador. The décor is very dated and shabby the evening meal was disgusting the breakfast was just a wash of greasy slim on a small plate. The room notices threatened instant death if you smoked yet the... more
