The hotel seemed to be run by staff as there was no evidence of any manager/owner over our weekend stay. The room/bathroom was very good (apart from a sticky substance ingrained in the carpet, and unidentifiable stains on the valances round the beds) but the rest of the hotel is in need of some tlc. We booked in at £180... More

We stayed in this hotel for 5 days, the room we had was on the 3rd floor, which was the attic, not very big, though fairly comfortable, the food was very ordinary, but there was plenty of it, a choice of a different roast each day, a vegitarian choice and sometimes fish or something else. the staff were quite helpful... Friendly staff and a nice welcome on arrival. Clean room with everything we needed. Excellent location on the sea front. Didn't use the bar or restaurant in the evening although the food was lovely at breakfast. Suited our needs and priced in comparison to other hotels locally.

We stayed at the hotel 5th/9th May and I must say we had a super time. All the staff were helpful and very friendly, they did everything to make our stay one to remember. The food was excellent with a good choice. The small bar off the reception area was very cosy and we enjoyed a tipple or two before... More

Great friendly staff. Great modern ensuite room with a view of the sea. Great food. Great location. Great dancing floor. We had a super break dancing, and walking. Good location to get to lots of castles and gardens. Hotel right on the sea front.

We were staying there for 3 nights. The breakfast is the typical english one..nothing special, but the restaurant staff is really kind. Our room was clean with a nice view of the seaside promenade. This hotel is good for staying a weekend or a short holiday while you are in the city.

We had a lovely refurbished room in this hotel, together with a sea view. The staff were friendly and attentive, but the public areas did not really work. There was a bar downstairs that never opened and the small bar upstairs was not adequate. At the time of our stay there were two large holiday parties staying. The large function... More

Lovely room with sea view. Ballroom ideal for our dancing. Staff very helpful and cheerful. Meals were good but disappointed that decaffeinated coffee was not available. Lift got busy at times. Stairs were hard work.
