This hotel requires an update and need to be brought up to the 21st century hotel accommodation. The hotel is expensive although in a poor state and very old fashioned. on the other hand the staff are great and the food is good and the views are fantastic.

Like so many large hotels in UK seaside resorts this hotel was probably once very impressive, however, it is in need of substantial investment to restore it to its former glory. I will point out that we paid £62 for this room, I think full price for the room was £119. Parking Ignore what the website says - you will... More

This hotel needs a major refurb. Worn carpets, scratched & damaged furniture, shabby drapes, very creaky floor boards. Entertainment was patchy and generally poor, but by far the worse aspect was the parking. Having been told there was on street parking, upon arrival at 3 pm on a Saturday there was no space on the street or anywhere near &... More

Second time at the Grand and we all enjoyed the 4 nights in room 93 again (worth the extra 10 pound a night). Great location, free on street parking and lift to the peir on -2! You will love this hotel if you are prepered to overlook the shabby-ness of this tired grand hotel with great staff to look after... More

This hotel has a commanding position on the end of the beautiful curving bay that runs from the little Orme to the Great Orme. It is a disgrace and needs radical change. The town of Llandudno is beautiful and the promenade one of the best in UK, the Grand is a blot on an otherwise fantastic landscape. We had tea... More

We have just stayed for two nights, a last minute booking what a mistake did not check it out with Tripadvisor. The 'Grand' is no longer grand what a fall from grace very shabby and uncared for and dated. We booked a double with sea view a small room only one bedside cabinet stains on the chairs a 14" tv... I had a voucher for 1/2 price afternoon tea The entrance of the hotel looked fab however some otherpublic areas were a bit shabby, although there were notices apologising for inconvenience during refurb, so its on the up. We sat out on the balcony and the views were fab, and surprisingly no seagulls bothered us. The afternoon tea was a... More

... I've stayed in worse. Me and my girlfriend were recommended the hotel by my grandmother and I can see why. It has that simple appeal required for a quiet, no bells and whistles weekend away at the sea side. It's old fashioned, sea side holiday style is evident throughout with its garish and "grand" foyer, it's shabby, dirty, no... More

This hotel is by far the shabbiest place I have ever stayed in. I am writing this review from my so called Superior room and believe it when I say, it is far from superior. If you find yourself with money to spare do not waste it booking a room at the Grand Hotel Llandudno. It truly is a dive
