Just had a great weekend in Llandudno and The Grand Hotel helped us to enjoy this, my husband is in a wheelchair and the hotel was well equipped for this, Love the old hotels, yes a few things need up dating but you expect this from big old hotels, everything was clean and staff friendly, we upgraded for our meals... We were here for 2 nights. Pleasant hotel, did not need refurbishing in the public rooms but some of the bedrooms needed it. After arriving home I read that the hotel is owned by Alex Langsum/Britannia group. Bad publicity in the paper about his other hotels and the asylum seekers. We had a very basic room and the pillow filling... More

At first sight across the bay this hotel looked impressive, so what a let down our stay here was. The standard room was small, the bed was uncomfortable, the décor needed a touch up and the bathroom needed attention. Any guests passing outside our door activated the noisy floorboards and any conversation could be clearly heard, The dinning room was... More

Just stayed at the Grand.....rather a tired hotel, like a lot of old hotels.... but refurbishing work is in place..our room was pokey two people could not walk at the end of the bed together....but it was clean and bright. We were with a party of 39 people, most had nice rooms, we drew the short straw. On the 4th... More

If you're looking for a hotel in Llandudno, avoid the grand hotel like the plague 100 per cent The hotel is dirty, old and the outside, well it looks like it hasn't been maintained for a least 10 years, I should know I work as a building service manger.to me the owners look like there going to run this hotel... This hotel badly needs a major refurbishment. On the plus side, check in was smooth and efficient, breakfast was nice and all the staff we encountered were polite and attentive. The room we were allocated was basic but had lovely sea views.

The room was terrible. The bathroom looked as though someone had started working on it and not finished their work. The decor was dirty and there were holes in the walls from which you worried about unwanted creatures emerging. The bathroom light could be seen by the people next door who complained in the middle of the night !! because... More

We stayed at the Grand Hotel in August 2014. When you look at the hotel from the pier it was as it says in the name "grand looking" somewhere I always wanted to stay in, The hotel is a bit shabby the wallpaper needed fixing, there was damp on the bathroom walls, the toilet seat was chipped. But upon saying... More

Friendly staff, half decent food, acceptable though requiring updating accommodation but why can you not drink the water ? Check out the option to upgrade to premium room and / or dining. Venue Cymru is worth a visit for a wide range of events.

we stayed here last week for a few days and we was very surprised how lovely everything looked. our room was available immediately and was warm and comfortable although the we did have a worn towel and a tear in the duvet cover. But it was quickly sorted out. We found our way down for evening meal at 6pm and... More
