Did not stay at the hotel but had dinner there with my wife, parents and future Daughter in Law. The cuisine is absolutely amazing. Excellent variety to suit all tastes and each dish cooked to perfection. Will eat here every time I am in the area. Great job to all who made our dining experience a treasured memory. I literally... We have just retuned from the annual Advent weekend at the Dunoon it was superb, from the afternoon tea on arrival to the cooked breakfast on departure, the food was some of the best we have had, we enjoyed the Welsh male voice choir, the magician and everything else during the weekend. this is the third holiday at The Dunoon... Only stopped in for dinner one evening. The staff were wonderful and the dining room was immaculate, as were the lobby and bar/lounge area. The dinner was superb, one of the best meals I have had in recent memory. All courses were delicious and cooked perfectly. Eat here, it's amazing!

I guess we did this the wrong way around as we booked the hotel and then read the reviews! We had a short list of hotels in Llandudno for our wedding weekend and the Dunoon was on it as we had previously eaten here and enjoyed a good meal. After meeting Gerwyn the manager it seemed that the Dunoon could... More

Stayed here with friends in standard double rooms ..... in need of refurb and not the best of cleanliness .... dusty and the net curtains need a good wash ! The kettle was a disgusting brown inside and trays made up for only one person so had to ask for extra ..... one bath and one hand towel .... had... More

Unacceptable lapses, as they were - we hope - uncharacteristic. We offer no excuses when something goes so plainly awry, although we always seek a remedy if issues are raised with us at the time. So no excuses for the bad breakfast. We serve around 13,000 a season and we endeavour to get every one spot on; if we do... More

We have recently been on a great Trains and Castles holiday in north Wales using this Hotel as a base. The food being of good quality and varied for each of the dinners we had. The breakfasts did vary in being slow and sometimes the toast getting cold before served. The staff were always very willing on most things requested,... More

The food is exceptional and the service great. In a good central location for amenities and local buses. What let it down for me was the bedrooms. Quite a reasonable size but with enormous furniture which meant stubbed toes and bruised legs. I suppose they are trying to recreate a Victorian atmosphere but for me it did not work. No... More

Just got back from a short break at this hotel. Cannot get over the amazing food we had every single night! Dinner consists of five courses and every one most enjoyable! Breakfast was also very good indeed.

Quaint hotel, very clean, and excellent food: The twin superior room looked onto the side street and the only noise was the incessant seagulls' squawk, which did disturb our night's sleep. The room was very comfortable and spacious, the only complaint would be the shower, firstly it was the most intricate contraption to get it to work, and when it... More
