My 2 children and I visited the Dunoon for two nights. The hotel is really homely and welcoming and the staff are top notch. Our bedroom on the second floor was light, spacious and tastefully decorated. The rooms vary in size and quality, my aunt on the third floor was put in a dark and cold room. I would recommend... We stayed here as part of a Great Rail tour group. Our first impression of our room was not great. It was really small. We had glimpsed other rooms on the 2nd floor and they all were quite decent in size and bright and airy. Ours was pretty dark, gloomy and cramped. There was certainly no floor space to even... More

Stayed at the Dunoon as part of Great Railway tour. The food was excellent and staff lovely, but I must have been very unlucky to have the room from hell. I had no hot water in my shower, tv that didnt work, 2 windows with handles falling off and noise from a neighbouring hotel? until 2.30am. I complained the first... More

I recently spent a week here. The hotel public areas are good and the food served in the restaurant is first class. My single bedroom was somewhat small but comfortable and clean. All the staff are attentive, courteous and pleasant. The hotel is peaceful within a few minutes walking distance of the beach and the shopping areas of Llandudno.

Just back from a 3 day mini break at the lovely Dunoon. We have been coming here to this hotel for years now and keep returning for the wonderful food, friendly staff and excellent service. It is very convenient to the shops, promenade and West Shore beach. We hope to be back very soon for some more old-fashioned charm

We recently stayed at the Dunoon Hotel for 5 nights as part of a Great Rail Journeys holiday. I initially had some misgivings as there is only parking for 15 to 20 cars. However there is free parking on the very wide street outside and the shops are only 3 minutes walk away. Our room on the top floor was... More

Just got back from a four night stay at The Dunoon. Clean hotel, breakfast was lovely. Positioned near to shops, and few minutes walk from the prom. Staff very friendly. We had a nice relaxing break. Well worth the price

This hotel is where we stayed while on a Great Rail Journeys holiday. It is a lovely hotel. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. We had a problem with noisy neighbours in the next room. The hotel dealt with our problem very professionally. We were upgraded to another room. They moved all our clothes and luggage for us... More

Llandudno is not blessed with good hotels, and we've tried several over the years. THis spring we booked at the Dunoon, recommended by friends, and were not disappointed. Very friendly staff, good food (although the vegetarian options could be improved), and comfortable rooms. As with many older buildings, the installation of en-suite facilities into existing bedrooms results in a somewhat... More
