The hotel has a feel of "belle epoque" - beautifully maintained, magnificent chandeliers, huge mirrors, and loads of great William Russell Flint pictures. Staff work very hard and are very friendly and helpful. Lovely lounge / conservatory. Not particularly suitable for disabled elderly people - hotel is up a steep hill from the main road and the promenade - wheelchair... More

We have dined and lunched a number of times in the past but this was our first stay. The hotel is in an old but refurbished building with an over-ostentatious style - a large brass 12 lamp candelabra plus a brass lantern in a rather small bedroom. The room was well supplied with tea and coffee facilities (a cafetiere and... More

Stayed here as a party of nine ladies last weekend. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Rooms were very clean, well decorated and spacious with every convenience a guest could want.. Restaurant was good value with plenty of choice and good service. Outdoor pool area and inside spa area were good. Parking could be an issue as space is a little... More

A very professionally run family hotel serving excellent food in a good location fairly close to the pier. The owners and staff are most welcoming and obliging. Would have no hesitation in recommending the Empire Hotel.

My hubby and I recently spent a week at the Empire. His parents used to come here in the seventies and, reading the reviews, we decided it would be nice to see how it had fared over the years. From check-in to check-out, the staff could not be more helpful. Help from Michael with luggage up to our room, shown... More

Small but classic one of a kind hotel. Unique decor, lovely back in time extras, sherry and home made cookies in room. Nice seating/bar area. Delicious breakfast. Great location, close to restaurants, pier, beach, shopping.

We have visited the Empire hotel many times, and over the past couple of years have visited it a lot more. A family of 7 visit with 3 children aged 16, 14 and 14, and every year since a young aged have enjoyed the pool, which also included a steam room and a sauna. The staff are lovely and each... More

Evening meal in the poolside restaurant sub standard. Awful steak. eton mess without merrangue, and £2 extra for a fish cake starter ! Would never visit again, having expressed my disapointment in an e mail which was ignored.

I think the easiest way to do this, is to list the positives: Sherry decanter, tins with good shortbread biscuits, tea, coffee, decent sized mugs, fridge, safe, bathrobes, pool towels, good beds, comfortable big pillows. Excellent shower. Very helpful reception, mints! Being helped to the room and the luggage carried! Two restaurants with reasonably priced set menus, good breakfast -... More

Probably best place to stay in Llandudno. Have been modernised recently - perhaps not to everyone taste, but there is still plenty of quirky antique feeling about the place. Staff very polite and nice. Best place to stay is the Townhouse next door, all rooms there unique with huge very comfy beds. Drawback there's no lift at the Townhouse
