Thank you for your review, I am sorry that you were disappointed with your room, the room was a single room on the third floor which is smaller than you might have wished for, however when I told you that the hotel was fully booked and that I could not move you, it was not a stock answer, it was... As a previous visitor to the hotel, there have been many changes over the past decade to the hotel. Lots of improvements which is good news but still mixed with the old so disappointing in places. I expect as a previous visitor to the Merrion my expectations are very high but sadly this trip was a bit more disappointing, slow... More

Thank you for your review and your comments, I am sorry the choice on the breakfast buffet was limited, the croissants are baked fresh every morning so there is a delay when we have to bake more, the Yogurts should have been replaced as they were used up, please let us know next time as this should have been seen... Where do you begin lavishing praise on this hotel, the food, staff, hospitality, atmosphere, you name it, it's got it. Full marks all round. Myself, partner and small dog recently stayed here for a 3 day break. The hotel was in a great location, opposite the promenade and beach and 5 minute walk to the pier. Shops, bars and restaurants all also within a short walk of the hotel. Clientele are mainly elderley, quite a few coach parties arrived and departed in the short... More

I have just returned from spending the last week at the Merrion Hotel in Llandudno. The hotel is lovely, in a great location, right on the front and a short walk from the pier and shops. We stayed in Room 306, which is at the back of the hotel. The room was very spacious and clean, but very hot (we... More

Thank you for writing your review, I am pleased you enjoyed your stay with us, the heat in your room is unfortunate, but as you say the weather is exceptional even for this time of year. I looked out at the promenade today and saw the beach packed with children, summer is truly happening in Llandudno at the moment. Hope... More

I stayed here while on a business trip. The room was very comfortable with en-suite shower and toilet. The bed was comfortable and cool (even better due to the hot weather). There was a nice 32" tv on the wall which got free view. The hotel was very pleasant and the bar prices were very reasonable. There was an excellent... More

Having done fine dining on cruise ships the food here was in that league, with superb quality & presentation. It became difficult to choose a dessert as there were at least fifteen each evening to choose from. All the Staff were wonderful being so friendly and helpful. The hospitality tray was well stocked and it is the first hotel that... More

We have stayed in Llandudno several times at the Imperial and the St George but selected the Merrion purely on the excellent reviews, we are so very glad that we did because we had a great experience. We've just had a three night stay at the Merrion with our 20 month old daughter and nothing was to much trouble.
