Came to visit the Christmas fair, lovely day out if a little busy. Room was spotless and bed very comfy. Welsh brekky was lush. Simon and Lynn are lovely hosts. Last time we stayed I left my top and they posted it back to me free of charge which was lovely of them. Will be back when we can.

We got room 4 which is a twin room and the only available room....a cosy room and quiet..The brekky was very good .....The only 2 drawbacks were the old fashioned small shower and the brekky time cutoff which was 9.30am.........

We have stayed at Hatfield house on many occasions and in various rooms . All are very clean and nicely decorated . The breakfast is lovely too .The owners , Lyn and Simon are both very welcoming hosts which is why we keep returning year after year . Hope to be back again soon.

The 1 star is purely for a good nites sleep. Some people should not be in the hospitality industry. The hosts had no social skills and we felt as if we were intruding. Breakfast was diabolical..1 tea bag for a pot of tea for 2 people, and having been bold enough to ask for marmalade it was slammed in our... More

Just returned from a four night stay at Hatfield House which well exceeded our expectations. Despite being a little dated our room (4) was extremely comfortable with everything you could possibly need, including two arm chairs - and a tea towel for the coffee mugs! Well cooked hot breakfasts to set you up for the day, and then just a... More

Upon our arrival the hosts were bickering and our presence certainly didn't stop them. We were shown to our room which was dark and grubby. The bathroom carpet smelt of urine and we soon discovered that the shower either dribbled lukewarm water or didn't work at all. There was a notice above the toilet which threatened an £80 fine if... My daughter (13) and I stayed just short of a week and we found Simon and Lynne to be lovely people. We loved their breakfast and found their hospitality to be absolutely top draw. Would love to come again here just because there wasn't enough time to fit everything in. Thank you and definately see you again. N+K

We had a fantastic stay at Hatfield House Hotel. The owners were amazingly friendly and accommodating. The room was spotless, had everything you'd expect for a short break and bigger than expected, a very pleasant surprise. The addition of a sitting room is a stroke of genius and really gives the room character. This also helped as the weather was... More

Comfortable and close to centre of town. Weak tea but soon sorted LOL. Lovely food and hosts. Left with 3 paperback books by Mark Billingham. Hope to return. What more can be said about this excellent b&b. Try it soon.
