My friend & I shared a great w/e (Fri - Sun) at this hotel. We were part of a large group of party animals! The venue, accommodation, food, staff etc etc were great - the weather on the other hand was not so good! The wind blew so strong on Sunday morning you could hardly stand up outside - but... More

We stayed two nights and our room was basic but nice with a sea view, the staff are very helpful, quantity and quality of the food was very good. The only part of the weekend we did not enjoy was the evening entertainment a little old fashioned for us, but we went out and found a decent pub so not... More

I needed to visit my elderly mother and decided to stay over, I had enjoyed a lovely lunch on several occasions in the past so booked the Queens at the last moment. The room was very well appointed and spotless, the service accommodating, friendly and efficient, the owners were clearly very present and making sure that everything went according to... More

This was the seventh year that our church has held its Family Weekend at the Queens. We were very well looked after by the staff who could not do enough for us. The food was excellent, rooms clean and comfortable and facilities first class. We had sole use of one of the ballrooms for the whole of the weekend for... More

I stayed at the Queens Hotel last week for one night, in the lodge, which is just across the road from the main building. I had stayed last summer so knew how dog friendly the hotel (and the staff) were. This time we had room 16, this had a double and a single bed, ideal for myself, my son, and... More

in short food - very good, room - very clean, service - very good I've no complaints at all. I was on a mid week special value break and cannot fault the value. This is a privately owned dog friendly hotel. I was surprised by some of the 1 star reviews. This is a popular hotel and usually fully booked.... More

Delighted to hear that you enjoyed your recent stay at The Queens, and thank you for your kind comments . Regarding a "Guest ale" in the bar - Nice idea! Unfortunately, however we would not generate efficient volume sales to justify this.....but we could/should stock more bottles of Beer produced by local micro breweries and I will arrange this. Thank... More
