We booked into the Carmel Hotel and Bistro on a very wet Monday night, we would have just booked for one night but Neil offered us a better rate for two nights. The room was at the back of the hotel and looked out onto some houses but it was quiet. The room was small but functional with a reasonable... More

Just had 3 nights at the Carmel....came away very happy. I only scored 3 for the room, but, we did only have the basic room..The place has a lovely, relaxed vibe/ambience Neil is warm and welcoming and makes you feel welcome instantly. Place is the opposite side of the prom to the town centre but what a lovely walk 10... More

Enjoyed a very pleasant weekend in Llandudno following a last minute decision to get away for the weekend. Booking the Carmel as a two star hotel was a bit of a gamble but it proved to be a good decision. Neil, the proprietor was very welcoming and helpful with advice as to where to go and places to eat. I booked for 7 nights (Partner and self) and I chose this hotel mainly because there was a Bistro offering evening meals which very few other places in Llandudno seem to have. On arrival the Bistro menu - 2 x course for about £18.50 each looked good (Although the menu did state Steaks cooked to Medium only...I like Rare!) Although... More

This is an ideal location to start your holiday, away from the hustle & bustle of the town centre. It's a short stroll along the lovely scenic coast to get to the town centre and there's a handy bus stop at the back of the hotel to Conwy and other towns. Neil the owner is very welcoming & friendly &... More

We found this hotel having stayed two nights in a not so wonderful hotel following evacuation from the floods of last week. Our room (4) is very comfortable and has wonderful views of the bay. The hotel is charming and spotlessly clean. Neil is the consummate host and nothing is too much trouble. He welcomed me hours before check in... More

Recently stayed here with my wife and 8 month old son. The owners go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The décor is a mix of traditional and contemporary with serveral rooms over looking the sea. The Bistro is particularly well presented and is worth a visit even if your not staying as the food is of a... More

We had a fantastic stay at the family run Carmel Hotel. Everyone was so friendly and made us feel very special, this is a great place to take family. I can not recommend the Bistro enough, the food is exceptional and the care taken to provide us with a wonderful experience was second to none. The rooms at the front of... More
