The staff are friendly and polite, but the rooms and the decor are well past their sell by date. We did have clean sheets and towels, but there were weird stains on the chairs in our room. The breakfast was OK, but the food at dinner was a cross between school dinners and hospital food. Wifi in the hallway only.

We booked the hotel and was told we would get a decent room considering the amount of phone calls I made. Soon as I entered room it stank of DAMP! The walls and ceiling had so much damp and the bathroom was shocking as there was no air ventilation, so basically if you went loo and emptied your bowls the... More

We stayed at this hotel and it was perfect and beautiful place, also not that far away from Cliffs (as we came for that). The hotel itself was a little bit old, but we got sea view room which was really nice. Maria at the hotel reception wasn't really friendly at the begining and everything we asked was answered "no" also... More

Come on seriously it is £30 a head if you get the right deal. I travel all over the uk and a city centre or beach front hotel will set you back an average of £130 room only in a chain owned hotel. The place is quirky and old with a mish mash of furniture which in my opinion is... More

After phoning before booking to check it was disabled friendly I was gutted to find it wasn't even able body friendly. Bits missing out of floors and walls, smelling of damp where the restaurant was down in the cellar. Mums room was an obstacle course and loo door wouldn't open enough for her to get in and mine was just... More

Thank you for taking the time to write the review. I have taken on board all of your points, and at the time I don't have any disable rooms, but would look at have a room in place. We have just opened 2 rooms on the ground floor, so access is easier, they are standard single with large bathrooms. The... More

After reading some of the previous reviews I can only assume that some of the people writing them are not very well travelled and have no idea what fabulous value for money this hotel is and is not the london hilton but a simple but great value hotel in Eastbourne. We were late arriving and Nick the very helpful manager offered... We only spent a night day. Had a groupon voucher with dinner and breakfast but after reading all the reviews we decided not no eat there. The room was good for one night... Bed was comfortable and pillows as well... Actually positively surprised after reading all the reviews.

I visited this hotel May 15 for my daughters birthday and allowed her to bring a friend, oh boy did I look cheap!! On arrival the initial welcome was a typical 60-70's feel of a retirement home. On receiving our room keys and roaming the labyrinth of corridors, old semi decorated walls and old dirty carpets we finally found our... More

As the title implies, this B&B is nothing out of the ordinary in it self, it is a labyrinth of corridors and stairs cramming in as many rooms as possible. As you will find in most seaside B & B's. Before we booked, we confirmed with the hotel that it had an access ramp and walk in shower equipped rooms... More

I booked this hotel because it was on the sea-front and it was cheap. When I read the negative reviews I was worried... But I didn't need to be. Staff were great, helpful, the room was comfy and clean, we used this as a good base to explore eastbourne. While I was in reception a couple were leaving and complaining...I... More
