Our three-day stay at Ocklynge Manor far exceeded our already high expectations. When you enter the house there is such a welcoming ambience that you instantly feel at home. Wendy goes out of her way to make her guests feel welcome - she served us tea and cakes on our arrival overlooking the garden. The bedroom was spacious and gracefully... more

Gracious hosts, a lovely home, large rooms, good food, intelligent conversation, and a strong wifi signal. What more could one ask? Wendy and David were also good enough to lend me their walking guide. more

This trip was booked for us as a wedding present. Wendy was very welcoming with the tray of tea and homemade cakes. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms and the house were spotless. The bedlinen crisp. Decent sized soft towels! The garden beautiful. We shall certainly be returning. A wonderful present and a wonderful stay more

A beautiful residence that felt more like a home than a hotel. A friendly welcome (with cake!) in an idyllic setting. Very friendly and knowledgeable owners, who were able to supply maps and local information, even offering to book a restaurant for us. Immaculate amenities and the breakfasts were delectable. We would heartily recommend it. more

Ocklynge Manor is charming, comfortable and beautifully run. On arrival, we were shown the facilities and advised on local amenities. The bedroom was tastefully and luxuriously furnished with quality linen and a well stocked hospitality tray. All the essentials to make the guest feel at home were supplied, including a range of toiletries, bathrobes, hairdryer, TV and DVD as well... more

If Wendy had been my very best friend she couldn't have made us feel more welcome. Tea and delicious home made cake no sooner than we had arrived and the beautiful room overlooking the garden was a delight. We wanted for nothing there - even our table for dinner was booked for us in a recommended restaurant. And what a... more

Other positive reviews will have said it all. I was not disapointed from the reviews, and more was added. The tea tray brought to my room on arrival, with a slice of home made cake was so welcome. Extra attention when locating a place to eat in the evening, and finding a friends house in the town all added to... more

An ideal place from which to explore the Eastbourne area. Wendy & David are delightful hosts. We stayed in the Mabel Lucy Atwell bedroom, everything is spotless & comfortable. A beautiful garden. Delicious breakfasts prepared by Wendy. Very quiet & relaxing after a long day seeing the sights. Worth far more stars. more

This was my 2nd stay a the Manor, and it was just as lovely as the first. The car park is off road, the welcome is warm and friendly. A cup of tea and slice of cake on arrival. I stayed in room 2, which is roomy, comfortable, clean and overlooks the wonderful garden. Away on business I stay at... more
