The Glastonbury is a average budget hotel. I can`t say anything wrong about it, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was large on second floor with sea view very clean with comfortable bed, bathroom suite was dated but everything worked, plenty of hot water and nice clean towels. The food was plain and well cooked eg steak... More

Just returned from midweek break at the Glastonbury - first time there and hopefully last. There were a few positives such as good location and staff that tried very hard. Much has been said about Room 324. It must be bad because we were in Room 328 which was barely habitable. Small, no heating (rained an awful lot and nowhere... More

The only thing i found worth saying is that the food was good. The hotel needs a complete refurbishment . My room had large damp patches on the walls , no locks as such on the balcony door but there was an old paint tin and lumps of old concrete on the balcony.

We must say that we had a very nice Sea-view room but it was in need of modenisation. In the first instance it must be said that what we asked for we got, we had a nice email from Simon allocating our room in advance. We were aware that this hotel is not disabled friendly but people with walking difficulties... More

We have just returned with David Urquhart Travel from a 3 day break at this hotel. Despite sending an E mail in advance requesting a sea view room, we found ourselves in possibly the worst room we have ever had the misfortune to stay in at the rear of the hotel. There is a really good review on this site... More

Many positives. Great location close to public transport at the Pier and sea front. Staff were lovely and keen to please and we tipped the very busy waiter! .Also bravo to Pedro from Madeira and the barmaid from Southern Turkey! Food served hot and with a menu changed each night based around soup or fruit juice starter, fish or meat... More

Visited Eastbourne and enjoyed staying over in this hotel popular for older clientele and coach trips. Cheerful and bright décor with nice bar. Not many English speaking staff and not that friendly. Breakfast served was good quality in a huge dining room. Didn't stay for dinner. Power cut while we stayed but no warning given. I booked a single room... More
