I stayed for two nights. The rooms were slightly dated, probably hadn't been refurbished since it was built. I got a perfectly good night's sleep though, and had no complaints. It was cheap enough at just under £40/night. I have, in the past, walked out of hotels for poor quality and this wasn't really that bad overall.

Just an overnight stay for self and wife. Ex-Innkeepers Lodge establishment next to a roundabout (A22/B2191) on a small industrial estate. Smallish car park but use of adjacent Toby Carvery car park probably OK overnight. Reception area a bit small and scruffy but room was larger than Travelodge average. Staff welcoming and polite. Clean and reasonably quiet on the top... More

We were in Eastbourne to help our student daughter move. We travelled 260 miles and arrived very late to check in. We found staff talking and smoking at the front door. The check in was efficient but when I went back downstairs to the car, I was told to unbolt the front door to get out?! This looks like a... More

Just returned from Eastbourne after refusing to stay at this awful hotel on the basis that everything about it indicated cheap, rundown and about to be closed..The place stank and the decoration was in an appalling condition with minimal furniture which looked as though it came from a skip. How this organisation has the temerity to put a picture on their... I stayed at this travelodge over a year ago and found it to clean and an overall pleasant stay that is why I decided to book again for this past weekend. Two nights Friday 10th and Saturday 11th February 2012. On arrival we were met by staff gossiping and smoking at the front door. Very unprofessional. We were then given... More

Arrived at this Travel Lodge 27th Dec for an overnight stay at 1pm. Check in not until 3pm so forced to pay another £10.00 by "jobs worth" receptionist. Staff not in uniform and very casually dressed. Apart from "jobs worth" other staff were friendly. Lodge itself was eye wateringly ugly. Carpets stained and dirty. A fire door had the bottom... More

There was a deal for the night i stayed in this hotel. £35 anight was very resonable. Friendly reception and clean room. Yes it is situated in a bit of a industrial estate but it was ideal for for 1 night. If you can get deals like this, the hotel is well worth it.

I stayed in this Travelodge for one night after a friend's party nearby. It served the purpose for a short stop over but does not meet the standards of other Travelodges I have stayed in. The room was clean enough but not spotless, and the decor was a bit tired. However, it was cheap and functional and easy to get... More

Like a previous reviewer I had booked before reading the reviews, as I needed to stay in the area for a function I was attending. I was also a bit apprehensive, but needlessly so. The room was perfectly adequate - functional but comfortable and clean. I don't mind the 'no-frills' approach, as I'd rather provide my own toiletries than the... More
