My partner and our 2 teenagers stayed in room 9 at this hotel for 3 nights during the Airborne show, and this was an ideal location for that - only 2 minutes walk to the beach/show. The room and bathroom was spotlessly clean, and breakfast was cooked to order (delicious!) and plentiful - with other cereals, yoghurts and fruit etc... More

Stayed here for 2 nights during the airshow. Firstly has parking which saves on parking. Stones throw to the beach. Pretty dated inside but comfortable enough and very clean. Great breakfast. Recommend the mushroom omelette. Eastbourne without the pier is pretty poor location for kids. Would recommend this hotel but not eastbourne until the pier is back or the airshow... More

I was passing through for 1 night. I received a very friendly welcome. Comfy clean room and shower room. There was an extensive breakfast freshly cooked to order as well as continental breakfast. Served by a lovely friendly family. Close to the promenade and bandstand. Opposite theatres. Obviously not suitable for walking impaired as steps to front. There is a... More

I booked this room through booking.com and I was quoted £300.00. When I checked out I was charged £307.50 and I was told that this was for paying by card. The owner pointed to a piece of paper stuck on the back of the office door that stated the extra charge. This was not made clear when booked, or when... More

I have previously stayed at this hotel and found it to be good. I am afraid my opinion has now changed. I originally booked the hotel for a 1 week stay. After booking I get a phone call from the owned stating the hotel had been sold and he was handing over the keys to the new owner on my... More

Originally booked the Sheldon Hotel in february for 6 nights in july but on arrival at the place we were told it was fully booked, this was even after a phone conversation 4 days previous to confirm the booking .So reluctantly we were transfered to the Park View. This however turned out to be a blessing as the hosts here turned out... I booked this pretty well last minute and secured a double room in breakfast complete with parking for £50. Its a bargain! I was greeted in the car park & shown to my parking space (which they kindly allowed me to keep during the day whilst I attended conference that was across the road). The room was spotless enormous and... More

We spent one night here recently and have no complaints. The room (#6) was fine, clean and seemed to be freshly painted. Hospitality tray included the usual tea and coffee and biscuits. Freeview TV and a nice bathroom with excellent hot water supply. The breakfast, as others have commented was good, bordering on very good. Friendly staff and free on-site... More

I stayed at this hotel based on the previous reviews. Having returned home I am now left wondering if I had stayed at the same establishment. I was down in Eastbourne on business and stayed in a single room. Even though my hosts appeared welcoming, alarm bells started sounding in my head when I was confronted with the all pervading...
