we recently stayed with our two boys in a "so called family room" now we asked for family room expecting a double bed plus two singles what we got however was a four poster bed "so comfortable" and a pull down sofa bed no good with two boys 9 and 6 9yr old autistic. so we like a challenge put... I had decided to take a short break in Eastbourne, I was looking for somewhere cheap that had some good reviews, this was the last place I looked at for the simple reason I thought the location would have made it more expensive than others. I looked at the prices and thought that this would reflect a lack of facilities... More

Unfortunately, this is more of a boarding house b & b than a hotel. I booked several months ago based upon the website information that there was a restaurant and bar but both were closed. The bar has since reopened and is served by the receptionist. The whole building is badly in need of maintenance. That said, the service was... More

Great location however uncomfortable bed and needs a lick of paint and some updating inside. Great breakfast and cheap. Staff really friendly and helpful. .. hope the new owners modernised. Worth a visit for a cheap weekend away.

Considering that the Hotel has just changed management and they are feeling their feet, we had a really lovely weekend at the Pier. The rooms are slightly dated but very clean and although our room was at the rear of the Hotel, it was pleasant and very quiet. We acquired a parking card from reception which allowed us to park... Coming to Eastbourne for the yearly tennis event, me and my friend stayed at this hotel for the first time. We chose a room with sea view and were not disappointed. Great view of the Eastbourne pier from all room windows. The room itself was very nice, though a little dated. We stayed at the top floor, where the water... More

Stayed for just the one night for work purposes. Greeted by very friendly staff and made to feel welcome. Room was clean, well equipped and with a great sea view Very adequate breakfast in a pleasant dining room. One point to note is that as you go up the stairs they and the landing all slope slightly reflecting the age... More

The location could not be better. The elderly couple who run the place and their staff are all welcoming and doing a great job. Breakfast very good in a large room with a view. The rooms are quaintly decorated, though a little dated. Ours was a little on the small side, but with a good view of the pier and... More

The hotel is in a great location and the owners are real characters (in a good way). If you're a light sleeper the noise at night is a problem due to the night club on the pier at kicking out time. We had a lovely large room with a sea view and a fantastic huge T.V (if you're bothered about... More

good location and NCP down road for £3 per day. Breakfast fine, rooms were large if a little tired. Hot water temperamental. Shouty pikeys let out after midnight so a bit loud. Family deal really cheap and for a sea view hotel you cant realy moan
