We arrived with the Hotel brouchure in hands and thought to be in the wrong hotel - we have got family rooms with 40 years furniture and carpets, totally unacceptable. The internet and brochures give an image which unfortunately isn't real at all. The Boss refunded the deposit without a problem and we moved to the Grand Hotel. more

Problem started when we arrived, & were standing at reception for a good fifteen minutes before anyone came to check us in. We were led to the 'luxury' room with four poster bed and jacuzzi. It was OK and had obviously been recently refurbished, but not with much thought. For example, the side of the jacuzzi bath was coming loose,... more

We stayed at this hotel with our 2 boys aged 4 and 1 1/2, so we booked the family room, it was fine if a little small which was ok for 3 days but I think had we been there for a week it might have been a bit claustrophobic. The staff were excellent, especially the receptionist who made a... more

We booked a 'Superior' seaview room for our anniversary, however, there was nothing superior about it apart from the fabric used for the curtains (which were un-lined and let in most of the the light anyway). The room also lacked a bath 'room' instead there was a shower 'cupboard' (with a door that didn't close) and a toilet 'cupboard'. Neither... more

The room was recently refurbished but not to a particularly high standard, however it was clean. My wife thought an addition of a curtain in the bathroom would be worth the money. The bed was comfortable, TV worked, toiletries included, breakfast was great. more

I stayed here on business for one night in one of their single, "no frills" rooms. £25, with breakfast, free internet access and use of their dvd collection - excellent value for money ! The room was clean, albeit very dated but exactly as described. No toiletries, so remember to take your own. Right by the beach and a few... more

We've just returned from one nights stay, our room was described as a 'superior rear view room overlooking the down's' I think superior is over rating the room, and the view of the downs was mared by 100's of roof tops. Good points were that the heating was left on so you could control your room temperature from the thermostat... more

We stayed a Saturday night in this hotel, which is situated on the seafront a couple of hundred yards east of the pier. The room was quite small, with a chunk of the square room partitioned off to form a pretty good WC/bathroom. It had seen better days but was reasonably clean. There were quite a few facilities - a... more

Deciding on Saturday over the August BH weekend my partenr and I thought it would be nice to go and stay in Brighton the following day, of course Brighton was full - and so we stumbled on Weyanoke / East Beach Hotel in Eastbourne. We booked a four poster bed superior room...the pictures just don't do it justice! The outside... more
