The location is really good, and the hosts were quite nice. I was expecting quite a bit more related to the 4 star rating. I have stayed in many 4 star hotels/b and b's and this to me did not seem to fit. The bed was pretty uncomfortable, I thought the mattress was of very poor quality. The lamps and... more

We stayed here for a short weekend away, having booked it as a self catering break through lastminute.com. Arrived on a blustery Friday night and were immediately welcomed by Mike who gave us a ticket for the parking space and assured us we would then be fine for the remainder of our stay. Our room was great (room 5), top... more

A small centrally located, boutique B&B. We were greeted warmly by our hosts, Mike & Fiona. Parking is available right outside, Mike and Fiona provide daily permits for a minimal cost. The room was self contained, with its own kitchen, spotlessly clean, and beautifully decorated, a home form home. Within 1 minute you are at the sea, and within 5... more

Really loved this B and B. Very clean and well furnished. Especially liked having the kitchen and eating area so had the option to cater for ourselves. Good location would definitely recommend to our friends more

We went to Eastbourne to relax and unwind for a few days and we managed to do just that. We received a friendly welcome and felt quite comfortable in Mike and Fiona's guest house. Our room was stylish and comfortable and had all the facilities we needed. It was great to have the kitchenette and the fold up table which... more

This is a great B&B. We stayed for one night and thoroughly enjoyed it. The saniflo loo is a bit noisy which is why we marked it down 1 star but this is a small inconvenience when the rest of the B&B is so nice. more

We stayed at the Guesthouse East for three weeks from late June to mid July this year and really enjoyed it a lot. We lived in a very charming and quite spacious room on the second floor with a bay window overlooking a quiet street. We were even able to see the ocean and smell the sea breeze in the... more

This is a good basic B&B. The positives are its location - close to the beach. The breakfast were good and the host are very pleasent. Describing themselves as luxurious and spacious rooms is streching it a bit far. We were on the 3rd floor of a renovated terrace house which means the hike up and down to our room... more

We stayed at the Guesthouse East as part of a small group participating in a triathlon at nearby Seaford. We had a double room on the third floor. The room was fine, and included a separate kitchen and spacious, light, bathroom with a great shower. Fiona and Mike were excellent hosts. On the Friday night a healthy pre-triathlon evening meal... more
