We ended a hectic half term with a few family days at the Guesthouse East. We were warmly welcomed by Sarah and Carl, and instantly unwound. The large room and kitchen area allowed for family practicalities; and the prime location encouraged easy energy expenditure on the beach between rain showers. We all had a great time and look forward to... More

We stayed at the GuesthouseEast in September for three nights, we were looking to get away for a few nights with our 4 month old baby and the en suite room we were given was ideal for us, with an kitchen containing microwave, bottle steriliser, and travel cot, baby bath too. We were made to feel welcome and enjoyed our... More

Hi there Great to hear that your family loved it with us at the guesthouse. We try to limit your packing as much as we can so are more than happy to provide cots, high chairs, sterilisers and all sort of other kit free of charge. The thick walls and insulation of this grand old building also help you to... More

I spent the weekend staying at Guesthouse East, while attending a conference. I immediately felt very welcome and well cared for. The room was cosy, spacious, well lit and bright. It was great to have the option to be self catered too and the kitchen was well set out. As a city dweller, I appreciated the sea view from the... More

Sarah and Carl are a very nice couple, really caring for their guests. The rooms were large with a kitchen for self-catering which was very practical. Eastbourn is also not so far from London where we went by train. The tourism information offered some very cheap return tickets for a family (50 pounds for five persons). Also, the coast was... Hi Marie Thank you for finding the time for the review and your kind words. I'm pleased that your kitchen was helpful - having the extra space and flexibility is what's makes us completely unique here. Eastbourne really does make a good base for exploring the south coast and into London - we just always find that our guests need... More

Sarah and Carl made are stay really nice, they made you feel like it was home from home, you could not ask for a better experience. I have been to many places like The Guesthouse East in my previous job travelling all around the country and this one I would rate on a scale of 10 out of 10. I... More

Some of the friendliest service I've ever had, everyone we saw was accommodating and helpful. The location was excellent too, a stones throw from the beach. You do get a parking permit but just beware, at peak times you'll have to spend a bit of time trying to find a space. Apart from that wonderful place, clean and well presented.

We were a little early on arrival, but all the same, was welcomed warmly and sincerely by Sharon. Once we had unloaded our items, we headed off to explore Eastbourne. This guesthouse, was a great location for our walking children of 3 & 5, a nice "family" leisurely 2 minute stroll to the beach, 5 minute to the shopping/town centre.... More

So pleased that you and family enjoyed your time with us in Eastbourne. If the children sleep through and are generally happy on holiday, everything else seems to fall nicely into place (well, that's the way it works for my clan on holiday anyway). And thank you for your kind words - Sharon was chuffed when I let her know... More

Fabulous hosts and excellent facilities made our two day family stay very comfortable at the Guesthouse East. Great location, next to the sea front, would highly recommend the great breakfast that Sarah and Carl offer. Highly recommended to families and would return.

Hi there Thanks for the kind words and helpful feedback for others - we're very lucky in that all the rooms are very spacious (at least very large doubles) and some are massive (big enough for a family of 5, as was yours). Some families also book two rooms together as the top floor can effectively be sealed off and... More

We had a great stay at this wonderful hotel. The room was excellent and the location was very near the beach and the famous Eastbourne Pier. Carl and Sarah were so friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.
