I have had two stays at The Guesthouse East. On both occasions my room was spacious, elegantly decorated and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was large and furnished with plenty of clean towels & toiletries. The kitchen had everything I needed to prepare tea, coffee and light meals. There were numerous thoughtful touches such as complimentary tea, coffee & hot chocolate... more

For the independant traveller you couldn't ask for a better place to stay. The rooms are large and the option for self catering is ideal. The only down side for me was our room didn't have a bath tub but all the other facilities were of a good standard. Carl was an excellent host who genuinely cared for his clients.... more

This is a hidden gem in this established seaside resort. It has spacious rooms, comfortable beds, attractive contemporary decor and ...a kitchen! Karl and Sarah are extremely welcoming and friendly and cook a mean full english breakfast! It's location in a quiet street just off the promenade is within walking distance of the town centre and a good selection of... more

Having been recommended this as a place to stay by my brother I was still not expecting much for the money I paid, but was very pleasantly surprised by Guesthouse East The rooms suffered from none of the mistakes that happen in seaside B&Bs. Lovely room with a very comfortable bed and facilities to cook yourself. Really felt at home... more

My husband and I stayed at the Guesthouse East with our one year old daughter. Longing for the weekends away that we used to have, I chose the Guesthouse East because of the warm service I received from Carl when I telephoned to make my initial enquiry. From the time of booking, we felt like we were going to visit... more

Sarah and Carl's Guesthouse is beautiful, well-run, clean with spacious rooms and a lovely Full-English breakfast in the morning. I can't recommend their place highly enough. The Guesthouse is very close to the lovely local pubs, bars and good restaurants. The Guesthouse is very close to the sea and Beachy Head is only a 10 minute drive away. more

Eastbourne is the unsung gem of British seaside resorts. Lacking the crowds that neighbouring Brighton attracts, it has nicer beaches, better walking, nicer restaurants, and a much more friendly and relaxing general demeanour than anywhere we've seen on the South Coast. We stayed at Guesthouse East last weekend. We had a very enjoyable time. The place spotlessly clean, well decorated,... more

I'm not normally one to bother with sending in top tips but after my recent stay at The Guesthouse East in Eastbourne I felt compelled to put pen to paper (as it were!) The guesthouse itself is conveniently situated within a 30 second walk of the sea front and within a 2 minute walk of the main shopping area. And... more

My boyfriend and a close friend came to stay here for a weekend, and I really can't praise it highly enough. Our large, airy room was immaculate and beautifully and simply decorated. We had a spacious, pristine bathroom and a kitchen with all the utilities we needed to make us feel right at home. In the morning, we ordered a... more

My family and I stayed at The Guesthouse East last weekend - we had a really enjoyable stay. The room was spacious and nicely decorated - plus we had our own kitchen facilities too so had flexibility - ideal with young children. Minutes walk from the beach and good weather made this a daily visit. The hosts Carl & Sarah... more
