This was our first mini-break with a 7 month old baby and we choose this hotel as it is baby friendly (found via www.babyfriendlyboltholes.co.uk) Sarah and Carl provide a great service for families, very welcoming, warm and couldn't do more to help make our stay as comfortable as possible. The location is excellent with the beach and pier just a... More

Family friendly - Carl and Sarah very welcoming and their children terrific - playing with our older kids on the trampoline in the garden provided lots of fun. Lots of child friendly touches - high chairs, cots, boosters, toys, childrens books all provided as well as a steriliser in our room. Cracking location too - 30 seconds stroll to the... More

I have stayed at this hotel last weekend with my family. I have been amazed from the moment I arrived. The room was huge and had 3 single beds in it. Next to it was a separate, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. All sparkly clean! Sarah & Carl are very friendly and helpful. The beach is about 3 mins walk... More

I've visited Eastbourne previously for work purposes but never for a family stay. We're all very glad we did this time. The Guesthouse East is a warm, friendly and comfortable place to stay and places like this are few and far between for a family of 5. Our room was well appointed and comfortable. Sarah and Carl were incredibly friendly... More

Location: just off the beach front, very near to the pier, excellent. Room: had room 6, which was on the 3rd floor (no lift). Large main room with a king bed and additional sofa bed for our 3yo. Separate kitchen fully equipped, bathroom with all amenities. Was like a well furnished 1 bed flat, but with the convenience of breakfast.... More

We really enjoyed our five night stay in this elegant self-catering B&B. The bedroom was spacious, with a kingsize bed and a sofa, so could accommodate three family members if needed. It had a very well-equipped little kitchen with room for three to eat at a small round table and a very nice bathroom with powerful over-bath shower. One of... More

Once again, we had a lovely stay at the Guesthouse East. Beautiful, spacious and clean rooms with self catering facilities. Perfect and well equiped for a family with young children. Excellent location, close to the beach, restaurants and shops. Carl and Sarah are by far the best hosts in England.

Prior to arriving at The Guesthouse East, we were offered a complimentary upgrade of our room. Carl was extremely friendly and helpful during the upgrade arrangement, and this instantly portrayed a professional and friendly service. Upon arrival, the service was immediately apparent as being professional and hospitable, but also very friendly and warm - this, again, made us feel relaxed... More

Whilst visiting Polegate decided to stay overnight in Eastbourne at the last minute. Came across the Guesthouse East at 7.30pm on Friday night and couldn't have received a nicer welcome or room. It's a great place to stay as it's clean and spacious and near the beach. Sarah and Carl are lovely hosts and can't do enough for you. Advised... More
