We found this hotel on way down to hastings. It was busy weekend as bonfire celebrations. We had third floor room with sea view which was very comfortable and quite big. Friendly reception and very helpful. We will book again but always sea room as others very small and bit on dark side but cheaper. Thanks again. Mark and hazel

Just had a week at the Chatsworth I had room 15 which is situated on the rear of the second floor with a view overlooking the road. It has a double comfortable bed but the shower/toilet area is narrow and not suitable for a large person The breakfasts are plentiful and the staff are excellent nothing to much trouble for... More

When I booked this hotel at only 3 weeks notice, there were no sea view double rooms left, but when we arrived I spoke to the male receptionist (forgot to ask his name), he was most helpful. He said to give him a minute to check and gave us the key to room no 20. We were thrilled when we... More

Could be really nice has potential To be honest bed was terrible a double was two singles pushed together. With one mattress sinking like a hammock the other being fine. A drop of 4 inches between you makes it very uncomfortable and really awkward to cuddle. You couldn't get a bed worst than that. Great view and location. TV good... More

Both my wife I went to Eastbourne for the Air-show that we unfortunately missed last year due to my wife’s illness. I booked this hotel well in advance to ensure that we get a suitable and comfortable room accordingly to our requirement plus with the sea-view so that my wife who has mobility problems, could enjoy the show from the... I have stayed at The Chatsworth most weeks now for the past two months, as I am working in Eastbourne long term. This is a great place, even if a little dated like many of the Eastbourne Hotels are to be fair. The staff are very pleasant, extremely attentive, and always willing to help. Indeed my first booking was a... More

The check in and out was fast and easy and we had help with our bags. The room was lovely, spacious and comfortable, although it was maybe a little dated this was not a problem at all. The breakfast food was excellent. Our room was at the front overlooking the sea and it was great to have chairs and a... More

Managed to find a cancellation at this hotel when our original booking at an alternative hotel turned out to be unsatisfactory. Stayed in a suite with two rooms overlooking the sea, lovely rooms, very comfortable. Would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Stayed here for a weekend during Mens Tennis weekend. Wonderful Seaside Hotel. Clean and Tidy . Rooms were good. Some seemed more updated than others, but all in all very good. Breakfast was great, lovely food. Staff were very attentive and extremely friendly . Internet free and worked well in lounge or breakfast area. All in all, very good, thank... More

We visited the Chatsworth for a family weekend at the beginning of August. Our twin room was huge and ample for our needs and overlooked the sea. The bathroom was clean and serviceable. The facilities here are fairly basic but if all you want is a decent base from which to explore then this does the job. My Sister had... More
