Rooms are very dated, everything in the hotel needs modernising, I thought I was getting a Breakfast with the £50.50 I paid for a single room, so I don't think it's worht the Money to be honest! Reception was friendly. I would have like Free drinking water in the Room so had to buy my own. I wouldn't go back,... More

This hotel is in a lovely location facing the sea. There isn't a car park but you can park in front of the hotel or on the side streets either side, anywhere that requires a Permit H - you then have to run inside and get a permit from reception (for £1) and hope you get it back to your... More

Stayed 20 to 27 May. Traditional Hotel in great location, overlooking Eastbourne's Promenade. Close to the Pier & Bandstand. Short walk to shops. Management & Staff welcoming and very helpful. Delightful breakfasts, good menu with a variety of hot & cold items. A Negative, the very old fashioned lift needs updating. It's very cumbersome when trying to get in and... More

My wife and I booked into "The Chatsworth" for 2 weeks, in February, but were so impressed stayed for almost 2 months, why ?, "The Chatsworth" Hotel itself is central to the town centre, 1 minute walk, the beach is literally opposite the hotel, beachy head is 2 minutes by car or bus. If you are a walker you will... More

I booked through a website and phoned them to say I would be late. They sorted out a booking boo-boo in minutes while I was on the phone and went out of their way to re-assure me. The room was beyond expectations for the price. Everything was spotless and definitely welcoming. The staff were obviously proud of their hotel and... More

We had an event in this hotel at the begining of April. When we walked into the foyer we were happy with the quality and service from the staff, desk person was really helpfull and informative. As we were early we were turned away for a couple of hours due to the room not being ready which was fine as... More

I stayed at the Chatsworth this week as a leisure break. I paid for a sea facing room for use as a single.i had asked beforehand if the room was in good repair, having read some bad reviews on here.i have to say that the room had stunning views from a huge bay window and this included the pier as... Too low maintenance standard at this hotel. Flaking paint, dirt in corners, noisy madrasses, temporary working lamp in bathroom. Old and worn out furniture. Plastic and polyester in ugly colors. Wifi did not work. Slight smell of boiled cale. Breakfast menu quite poor, not nice with high rock music playing. Only good thing about this hotel is the location in... More

We found this hotel on way down to hastings. It was busy weekend as bonfire celebrations. We had third floor room with sea view which was very comfortable and quite big. Friendly reception and very helpful. We will book again but always sea room as others very small and bit on dark side but cheaper. Thanks again. Mark and hazel

Just had a week at the Chatsworth I had room 15 which is situated on the rear of the second floor with a view overlooking the road. It has a double comfortable bed but the shower/toilet area is narrow and not suitable for a large person The breakfasts are plentiful and the staff are excellent nothing to much trouble for... More
