The Hotel is situated on the sea front and very good for getting around, not far from main town center and other entertainments .Eastbourne has a lovely sea front which is very well maintained and the hotels are kept well decorated. The hotel is AA 3 star and is well situated, the bedrooms are good to average depending which room... More

The Chatsworth was like walking back in time, a bit tired in places decor wise. The room was very functional but small and suited our needs. The view was towards the pier which was nice. The only bug bear was the sink was blocked and took an age to flow away,we reported it to the receptionist when we arrived and... More

A waring to anyone even thinking about booking a room here, don't. The management should be paying YOU £90 a night to stay in this hotel. I stayed here recently, and ended up demanding a refund after such an awful experiance. The hotel room i stayed in was a sea view room, and the view was the only decent thing... More

The hotel looked very nice on entering with some very nice original features. I had paid extra for a sea view room and was looking forward to getting settled in. The room was extremely small and the bathroom even smaller and the sea view window also very small, very disappointing. The staff you could not fault but we had dinner... More

Stayed there in Sep 2011 for 4 nights. The check in was smooth and the receptionist was very kind to upgrade me to a double sea view room without any extra charge or request. The housekeeping was perfect with ample tea and coffee and biscuits available in room. A typical traditional hotel. Brand new carpets on the corridors, stairs lobby.... More

the rooms we were in were basic and small and at the back of the hotel, the common rooms were better but some of the decorations were a bit unusual, the staff were very helpful and friendly, the evening entertainment was a bit hit and miss. the hotel is a ideally placed for the centre of Eastbourne and local attractions.

I got a good deal on staying here by phoning the central reservation desk after checking out the website. I stayed for two nights breakfast and dinner for a total of £114! The restaurant is as it ought to be, lovely white table cloths, cloth serviettes with a lovely view of the sea. The food was really nice and served... More

We took my elderly mother to Eastbourne because of the level seafront, the hotel is on the front. The staff were very friendly and helped sort out the street parking where you need a voucher each day(50p) to park on the streets around the hotel. Our double room was sea facing but the curtains were ripped and the cleaners had... More

I think some of the previous reviews have been extremely harsh. This is a lovely old hotel on the seafront at Eastbourne. It's not trendy and modern, but that would be out of place in a town like Eastbourne. It is all very clean and well-maintained, to say that it is an Edwardian hotel. I was pleasantly surprised, actually. I... More
