Working away, was placed here by employers. My girlfriend (back home!!!!) told me about reviews. Nonsense!!!! Clean/tidy and friendly!!! Few rough edges still, but in process of putting right!! Stayed in two different rooms now, both more than acceptable.Would recommend!!! If you want the Ritz pay those prices

having booked for a conference in eastbourne, I searched for a place to stay and came across the Atlanta guest house, I read its reviews and felt comfortable enough to book a room for a couple of nights. On arrival to say I was dissappointed was an understatement, if I could have found alternative lodgings I would have, but its... More

Paid extra to get best room with sea view but windows where so rotten couldn't see out of them. Wall paper hanging off all over the place and yellow water Staines. Place was a real let down as partner had booked it for my birthday break away.

If you're looking for a clean comfortable bed, a hearty breakfast and a fantastic seaview, with a warm welcome, then this is it. Great value for money. Don't look too closely at the decor - it's tired and weary. Such a shame because the rooms could be brought up a grade with simple redecoration and some loving care. However, we... More

Just back from a 2 night stay at the Atlanta. We stayed in Room 3 which was graced with splendid sea views including the pier. The whole weekend was absolutely superb with friendly hosts and breakfasts that left you full for the rest of the day. Whilst we were delighted with our room with its huge chandellier and decent size... More

The outside of the hotel looks nice but it goes down hill as soon as go through the front door. The front of house has mould and peeling wallpaper at the time of our stay. As we went to our room it was like walking through a building site. The rooms are small and basic The majority of the guest... More

Perfect for a weekend stay in Eastbourne. Mark the owner went out of his way to arrange key access for us as we are arriving in the early hours and he also organised a car park pass for us. Breakfast was fantastic looking out over the sea.

Mark was very friendly and helpful, as were the rest of the staff at the hotel. The location on the seafront is excellent, we had a good-sized room on the first floor which had huge sash windows with excellent views of the sea. The inclusive breakfast was reasonable and we had no problems at all during our stay. One slight... More

Two friends and I stayed here this weekend in a triple room. This was, in fact, 2 separate rooms: a twin and a small single. This was a bit of a surprise but in no way a problem. The rooms and beds were very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also very clean and had obviously recently been refurbished. We... More

We had booked a four night stay in the family room for a family of four. We were shocked when we arrived at the state of the place. We had dinner (not at the hotel) and spent the evening looking for somewhere else. We ended up staying that night, but overall the experience was dire. It was so dirty, even... More
