I stayed at The Gladwyn on business for one night and was very impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. I booked a single ensuite room for £35 and was upgraded to a spacious double on the ground floor. Great value ! The hotel is a few minutes walk from the town centre and the seafront and the breakfast was... more

The Gladwyn Hotel is a true gem in Eastbourne. The interior is absolutely lovely and each room is decorated in another style. We stayed for 3 nights in the Beijing Room. The room itself wasn't really that big, but was still very lovely and I loved the paintings on the wall. There was a TV and DVD player, as well... more

My wife and I just returned from a 3 night stay over Easter at the Gladwyn in Eastbourne. I have stayed in dozens of hotels, guest houses and B+B's over the years and this is the best one I've ever stayed in. The guys who run the place have created a hotel which feels like staying in someones home- very... more

Spent a short break with my better half at The Gladwyn in January. Booked the room through their website - with no problems. I got an e-mail with confirmation shortly after. The hotel is perfectly located halfway between the railway station and seafront. All the rooms are different - we stayed in the Oriental room. The room itself was spacious... more

I decided I needed a well earned break, normally, I stay in Brighton, but decided I wanted a change. I rang the hotel up and spoke to the manager Frank. I booked in for 4 nights and when I asked did they want a deposit he said no that's ok. Another surprise they gave me a double room to myself... more

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Gladwyn Hotel for the third time this year. The staff are friendly, helpful and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that your stay is as enjoyable as possible. The rooms are squeaky clean and beautifully appointed with various themes which makes a nice change to all the clinical,... more

First time to eastbourne, and was delighted with firstly the area, which is great for history buffs abd people with children 3-13, so much for them in the locale. As for the hotel we really enjoyed it, everyone really friendly and in an excellent location. The breakfast room and the breakfasts are superb, as is the service. The lounge is... more

Stayed here last week on business cos of the proximity to our job. It was the first time I'd stayed in a B&B in 10 years and it was an unusual experience for a business traveller. It was very good value and efficient at checkin and checkout and very well positioned for the town. Plenty of on street parking outside... more

We booked 2 rooms at the Gladwyn at very short notice in order to attend a family wedding in Eastbourne. On the day we were setting off we were significantly delayed and when I rang the hotel to inform them we wouldn't get there until 2am at the latest Frank said he'd wait up for us even though they are... more

My family (2 adults, 2 children) were warmly welcomed at the Gladwyn. Upon arriving, we were immediately offered cold drinks. We were asked about our plans, and if we needed any advice, or directions. I've never stayed in such a friendly place. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. We had reserved a large family room - a great bargain.... more
