I have not visited this hotel, I was hoping to with my wife this year in July/August. I am in a wheel chair and cant walk at all. I have just phoned the hotel for about 7 people including myself. Although there is a Disabled Room with wet floor shower and wider doors. Even if I book now when the... More

SPLENDID HOSPITALITY. My wife and I spent a week at this very nice hotel on a “Robinson’s holidays” Turkey and Tinsel themed November break. This was our second visit. Situated just 50 yards from the Promenade the “IMPERIAL” is ideally placed for a stroll along the sea front or a visit to the Band stand or Eastbourne’s famous Pier. There... More

After a disastrous holiday with Shearings a couple of weeks ago, I was not expecting too much on this one with Robinsons, but they did win hands down with the coach journey down to Eastbourne, no changing of coaches! First impressions of hotel were OK, the decorations were a bit subdued, but there were trees in all of the public... More

We stayed one night. The room with the single glaze window was extremley cold, the radiator at the huge window could not heat up the room to a comfortable temperature. The dinner was nice. There is no wifi in the rooms and I could not connect to the wifi in the lobby either. There is a PC in the lobby... More

We stayed just for one night when we did our flying visit to drop off Christmas presents for family members who live in Eastbourne. Check in was straight forward and staff were helpful when I asked about car parking. Whilst the hotel does not have its own parking there is plentiful on road parking near the hotel so this was... Great location in Eastbourne, really close to the Pier & bandstand (there was a small Christmas market at the bandstand). I had read previous reviews and yes, the hotel rooms are quite warm. The mattress could do with an update, or a mattress topper so you can't feel the springs so much. Bathroom is fine, nice hot shower with good... More

I came to this hotel with my parents on a Christmas break. Staff were fantastic but overworked! Entertainment was good, communal areas were immaculate and comfortable. Bedrooms were totally dated and uncomfortable. It's certainly time to think about upgrading furniture and beds. Mattresses were terrible!

Just returned from a Robinson coach holiday to this great hotel The staff were very welcoming, the food was good, and hot, but I would have preferred more vegetables with the dinners, but the salads were very good Bedrooms very clean, although some didn't have a shower, I am sure if there were empty rooms this could have been changed,... We traveled as a coach party. The hotel looks very impressive from the outside and the dining room, lounges, bars and cellar entertainment areas were excellent. The bedrooms were rather dated but clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower cubicle folding sliding door needed replacing as we could not get it to slide. The hotel was uncomfortably hot at... Tailor made for coach parties which seem to comprise the major part of their business. We were one such group. A busy throughput of coach parties, especially for long weekends - efficiently accommodated by Eastern European staff. First impressions were of arriving outside a magnificent white facade to be personally greeted by the house manager who came onto the coach... More
