Smashing little hotel, just opposite the pier. Stayed for three nights whilst visiting relatives and really couldn't fault it. Bedroom was more than adequate, clean and comfortable. The Claremont Lions used to be called The Claremont but it has been taken over and refurbished in April 2007 by the Lions groups whom have 3 other hotels in Eastbourne. just returned from an excellent 5 days spent at this hotel. All the staff were very pleasant and extremely helpfull. Food was nicely cooked and plentifull. One of my party took ill and had to be admitted to hospital quite late in the evening, but the hotel staff could not have more helpfull and concerned. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE, more

I was there only for three days to attend a conference. Staff were extraemly helpfull and would do anything to assist you. I have had the best sleep of my life as the matress was so comfortable and choice of pillows made it so perfect. Breakfast was ample, served piping hot and staff were filling me with more tea!!! Its terrible rooms poorly decorated an the noise from outside was bad. The decore is so outdated, i even had a horibble avocardo shower tray. An there was a rust mark where the loo brush holder was also white staining on the cistern. Double glazing would help greatly did not get to sleep till 3 am because of the noise... more

Just returned from a coach holiday at the Claremont Hotel Eastbourne. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful ,in this clean and tidy hotel. The food and service was excellent and we would certainly return there again. more

what a horrible hotel yet it looks so nice from the outside, on entering the hotel the reception area appears to be very dated. our room was poorly decorated, ie full of mismatched colours and decoration and it was done to a very poor standard and it was dirty looking. there was a fridge in the room but it was... more

Room was very poor and not clean. Kettle had mould inside. No water pressure so toilet blocked. Breakfast was awful seated at dirty table which was not cleaned before our poor breakfast was served.
