We joined friends here to celebrate one of their 40th Wedding Anniversaries and it was excellent from start to finish. The bedrooms are large, with every amenity, the public areas beautifully furnished and the bar welcoming. The evening meal was very enjoyable and the restaurant itself well situated so that one could see the sea from the table. The staff... More

We had two rooms here just over a week ago. Although we booked standard rooms, the hotel moved us into two sea-facing rooms on the fourth floor as a party was taking place in the restaurant. The floor to ceiling windows with sliding door in our room were amazing, leading out onto a private balcony right above the sea front.... More

My husband and I stayed in a sea front room on the first floor after an office party. The room was very dated, hot and the duvet only just covered the bed. Howeverer, we had a great time, the room was spacious and spotlessley clean, the bed comfy and, when we managed to open the window, the temperature was mamageable.... More

Stayed at the Cavendish on business and lucky enough to get exec double with sea view which was lovely. Bed mattress was a bit tired, but apart from that a good room. Breakfast was nice, didn't eat there in evening so can't comment. Staff I met were all friendly and helpful. Great location on sea front and short walk into... More

Once again the Cavendish delivered excellent service. We were advised of a party on the night of our visit and that we would be located as far away as possible. Our sea view room on the Fourth Floor was warm and quiet. We had a most enjoyable stay.

My Mum and I booked the Cavendish for 3 nights and we found the hotel and the service we received first class. We requested a disabled room and we had everything that we needed to ensure that my Mum was as comfortable as possible. Added to this was the sea view! We found the buffet breakfast has everything that you... More

I stayed for just three nights, but I loved it. The room was the basic one, overlooking the parking lot but in reality it looked much better than on the hotel site and it was spacious. The bed was excellent to sleep in and the bathroom very well equipped. I loved the feel of the hotel and the wooden floors... More

My wife and I were booked in at another local hotel for our wedding back in 2011 when 3 weeks before our wedding day the hotel erected scaffolding. With three weeks left we started scurrying around trying to find a new venue. The staff at the Cavendish bent over backwards to accomodate us. Matching price, rooms for guests and even... More

Just had a champagne tea at this hotel. Service was excellent but we were the only ones there. Nice choice of food. Only downside was they should have been cheese and pickle sandwiches but were only cheese and my daughter found a large salmon bone in her sandwich. I did mention thus when paying but no real response. Would go... More
