Did not stay went for a meal. Double booked table of 16 and table of 12 with family squashed in the middle. Told food would be over an hour although we pre booked. 1 1/2 hours later food turned up very basic and not much for the price they charge. Will I return sadly no

First visit and loved the old charm of the place. However very very disappointed with the food. Beer battered fish and chips turned out a soggy mess. There with friends and none of us enjoyed the food. Didn't make a complaint at the time because of the friends I was with and wasn't going to upset them. Would I go... More

We dropped in for a pint of Harveys at lunchtime on Boxing Day. Nice beer and smiley, helpful staff. Just the sort of pub I wish I had near home as my local. We didn't eat, as we'd already done so in town, but I must say the food we saw coming out of the kitchen looked good, and the... More

We were a party of 13, and had pre booked the Christmas meal. Three courses for £22.95 which included tea or coffee and mince pies, The food was mediocre. I Am no great cook but seriously could have cooked a much tastier meal myself. I had the smoked salmon and prawn with a salad garnish for starter on a very... More

Went for dinner tonight staff lovely but service very slow even though not that busy at time. Very strange menu rather diverse, nothing on starters that we would choose, settled on the crispy belly pork but it was anything other than crisp, very rubbery verging on tough, vegetables not very inspiring red cabbage spinach and carrots, very school dinnerish. Have been regulars at... More

Went for Sunday lunch. Only One or two tables occupied, stood by the bar to ask about a table and to order drinks. After what seemed like 15 minutes but was probably only 10 a young girl asked us what we wanted. A table for Sunday lunch please....hang on.....she spoke to another young girl.....then said "no we're fully booked" ...it... More

I went to Eastbourne for a Reunion and stayed at Lamb. It is such a lovely place these days. It is very old with wonderful beams and The Manager and Staff are very helpful and welcoming. We stayed in a beautifully decorated room with an ensuite bathroom which was clean and comfortable and quiet. In the morning we were greeted... More

I visited today with my parter and father for Sunday lunch. The decor and feel of the place is great, really sets the atmosphere for a Sunday roast. We where seated straight away on arrival and our drink orders taken. We waited a good 10 15 minutes for our drinks. Although not too long, the resturant wasn't busy at all.... More

We stayed here last week with my family during a really busy period and enjoyed ourselves. The rooms were comfy and atmosphere was great. The menu is varied and we had the steak pie and lamb shoulder for mains. The wine list was good and we chose a Rioja which was delightful. Loved the cellar tour and friendly staff, breakfast...
