Our room was absolutely spotless with lots of storage space, and the bed was very comfortable. The cooked breakfast was pleasant and the host was very kind and welcoming. It's only about 10 mins walk to the clifftop walk which takes you all the way into Eastbourne along the seafront - gorgeous! One word of caution if you're a light... More

Rooms are very comfortable and clean, bathroom a little small. Great host, with lots of information. Great breakfast cooked to order. Very close to grocery store, pubs, city center and Beachy point. Parking right up front and free.

We stayed here on our only night in Eastbourne. Traditional in style, it is clearly much cared for, and we felt well looked after. Fine breakfast, so all good! It's very handy for the start or end of the South Downs Way, which is why we stayed there.

Upon my first arrival I was greeted by the owner who was extremely friendly, hospitable and helpful. Everywhere is spotlessly clean with great attention to detail. It is within walking distance to The Pilot, the better pub within the area.. And also close to the towns top sites and attractions. The hosts family is also just as hospitable and always... More

We arrived (late) - due to horrendous traffic and weather on our way down from London - to be greeted warmly by the owner of this fantastic guest house. We'd booked a large family room at the back of the house which was perfect. You really do get the feeling that you are statying with friends at The Beachy Rise.... More

What a nice place to stay after walking the South Downs Way! This sweet little guest house is friendly, comfortable, quiet, well-run and only a short walk from the trail. Two nearby pubs offer good choices for dinner. (The Pilot is the traditional stop for the celebratory beer at the end of the walk.) The owner was very pleasant and... More

We were well looked after with a pleasant room and tasty breakfast. Visit here for a true English experience and enjoy the local area of Beachy Head, South Downs Way Walking, Eastbourne town and beautiful countryside. You will feel refreshed and relaxed I'm sure. And the Ship Inn round the corner is great for food and drinks.

My family and I stayed in this small but sweet Bed and Breakfast while visiting Eastbourne. This is very convenient for beautiful Beachy Head which you can get to by foot. Charming hosts and very helpful.
