A 3star wysiwyg hotel in a convenient location on the seafront with parking concessions. The rooms are spacious and basically equipped with a small tv and kettle, etc . The bed was one of the most comfy I've ever slept on, and the shower was powerful but compact. Traditional English breakfast was good except it lacked my favourite mushrooms. The... More

Just returned home following a 4 day, 3 nights holiday at the delightful, 30 bedroom Oban hotel situated on the seafront. Our room was clean and spacious but a very small shower room, with extra pillows and blankets if required. Breakfast es freshly cooked to order, and dinner menu has several choices for the 3 courses. Food is if a... More

Just got back from a Voels North Wales coach trip, to the Oban Hotel and although I am always dubious about Hotels because of what food I can eat, I need not worry about this Hotel. The hotel was pleasantly clean and tidy, which is an achievement in itself after a long season. The staff was always pleasant and helpful... More

Sorry it taken me some time but finally got round to writing my review Perfect hotel for all the Airbourne action, standing on the sun terrace you have front row views ! All the staff worked so hard over the weekend and although very busy still gave us 1st class service. They did lunches especially for Airbourne which although were... More

A really good little hotel. On seafront with front rooms which have one of the best sea views. A quiet (end of season) hotel, beautifully clean and decorated. No glamour, flashing lights or razz ma taz but very comfortable and relaxing. Bathrooms small but adequate. Lift to all floors. Breakfast traditional English, well cooked and quickly served. Not a big... More

Decided to take a trip down to eastbourne - paid £90 for a double room - my goodness what poor quality - is this the standard of rooms; poor, tired, tacky, plaster boarded walls, no view, no style! It was a birthday trip - was I disappointed - I guess that is what comes of travelling all over the world.... More

Thank you for your review. Having looked in to your comments it would seem that you chose the room from a selection that was offered. You originally booked a twin room for you and your partner and upon check in you realised your mistake and wanted a double. Fortunately one was available and thereafter we showed you both for your... We have just returned from a four day break at the Oban Hotel. We went with Motts tours and were on a bed, breakfast and evening meal basis. Our room was on the third floor (lift available) and was clean comfortable and well equipped with stunning sea views. The evening meals were exceptionally good; three courses with four choices for... We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We arrived by train and walked to the hotel which is on the waterfront. We were there for the air show and thought it was a great location. The hotel is a step back in time. The rooms were small but it was interesting. The full English breakfast was very good.

Just came back from a break with the kids. We had family room 12 which was lovely and spacious (plenty of room for my 4 year old to get all his toys out). We felt very comfortable at the Oban and the staff really seemed to do everything they could to make our stay enjoyable, even putting Ice Age on... More
