Shabby room, double bed is two twin beds that are pushed together (you cannot sleep in the middle due to a dip), thin room door (you can hear people passing in the hall and people can hear you). View from window is a rubbish bin in court below. Dreary room decor. Shabby bathroom (looks like a DIY). Thin wall between... More

Stayed one week last summer with our teenage sun as part of coach party. Triple/family room was appalling - double bed and single bed squeezed into alcove with only a 9" table between them, so a 9" pathway to exit the beds as one side of each bed was right up against a wall. Dull and dreary as corner window... More

From the moment we walked through the front door we were impressed with the service and the quality of both our breakfasts and our room. Georgie ( Receptionist and waitress extraordinaire ) could not have been more helpful ! We are looking forward to paying a return visit later in the year.

As this was our first venture into group organising, we were worried about what could go wrong etc. Simple answer "nothing". From the moment we arrived, we received a greeting from the manager, escorted into the bar while cases were taken to the rooms. Quick wash etc, then down for dinner. Food and service was impeccable and this lasted throughout... More

This is on the budget end and should be considered as such. The hotel is easy to find being nearly across the road from the Martello tower #67 on the front. We were greeted cheerfully and given the choice of two rooms, choosing the ground floor one through exhaustion (travelled from Glasgow by rail), it was a basic double room... More

We spent 5 days at the Oban, Monday - Friday during October 2013. We arrived as a full coach load, this was handled by the reception quickly and efficiently. Our room (No 15 ) was possibly the most basic hotel room we have ever stayed in, very small for a double, one single wardrobe, two non matching twin beds, a... More

This was our first nights stay after flying from Australia. Although the waterfront location seems appealing, with our room location, we'd never have known. Payment upon checkin in required which we had planned to do with some cash we had brought, only to be told that the hotel does not accept 50 pound notes due to forgery issues - this... More
