Read reviews....all true..good only for cheap coach tours....not even worth one star....and we were told a VERY INTERESTING STORY about when the HOTEL INSPECTOR ALEX POLENSKI visited...and that was from grand uk tour guide...

We booked and then read the reviews and thought arrrggghhh! Nonetheless, I was pleasantly surprised. We had hot water and some heat, although I still don't understand why the radiators were not set to come on in the chilly morning! And I do appreciate that some people didn't have heat. Food/tea was plentiful and okay for the 'turkey and tinsel'... More

I have just come back from a Turkey and Tinsel, I think kid's could have put on better entertainment, now for the hotel very old and dingey, no hot water or central heating, had to beg for a hair drier, my kettle was filthy looked like tea or coffee had been made in it, empty milk cartons and coffee things... I have recently come back from a 5 night stay in the Mansion hotel and can honestly say it was the worst 5 days ever! The hotel was horrendous from the minute we walked in. The welcome from the staff when we walked in was very "luke warm"...I don't think any of them wanted to be there. After we were... More

This hotel is situated in a lovely part of Eastbourne with sea views, and not far from shops. The building and decor were acceptable with a lovely Dining room and spacious Concert room. However, some things were just not there for a Tinsel & Turkey Party - and we have been to a good few. I agree with another reviewer... More

Spent two wonderful days here on a Christian Course with 100s of delegates. It was wonderful because of the reason for being there not because of the hotel. The food was alright considering the numbers involved but everything else was simply appalling. No hot water for the entire stay. The staff seemed to be dulled by the experience of simply... More

I was supposed to stay the night at The Chatsworth Hotel, next door, but their boiler broke down so I was relocated to their sister hotel. I was greeted by a very charming Italian lady on reception, I was made to feel very welcome. My room was beautiful, as is the hotel. I was in a single room but had... More

4th floor twin room was fine. En-suite dangerous. Glass shelf on wall had extremely sharp corner and I cut my head when standing upright after placing item in bin below shelf. Easily remedied by moving bin to other side of wash basin, the risk should have been identified and remedied. No hot water throughout our stay from Monday to Friday.... More

we were with a coach party - 4 night trip from the North West with 2 day excursions included, all for £249 so our expectations were not high - and they were fulfilled! At the price, this hotel was acceptable to us, but I think we were lucky in the room we had. It was spacious with a nice sitting... More

Our visit only reinforced the other poor reviews for this hotel. The lift was broken (lots of elderly people in our party). The outside area was covered in cigarette ash & butts. We thought the dining area tiles were marbled until we spilt some water and wiped it up - the floor was FILTHY. In our room the curtains were... More
