this is the third time we have stayed in Eastbourne at the Royal. On every occassion the service has been wonderful, nothing is too much trouble. This is an excellent B&B, absolutely spotless rooms and bathrooms. Opened in April 2009. The owner was attentive, could not do more to make our stay comfortable and relaxed - he puts 200% into making his guests feel at home - which after a few days staying there, is exactly what you consider "The Royal" to be (home from home).... more

I can't believe what the last reviewer said about room 9. I stayed in room 9 and it was heaven. It is not a small room at all and I had my very own private bathroom. There is no lift but it does state that fact on the website so maybe you shouldn't choose a room on the top floor... more

My partner and I stayed at the Royal for a week and can highly recommend the place. The location is ideal and the hosts very welcoming and helpful. Decided on this hotel after reading the reviews, was not dissapointed, really lovely, so spotlessly clean, gorgeous bed and quilts, lovely view, we took our great dane with us and we were all very comfy for the night. They even left a bowl out for the dog. bathroom was stunning. Lovely lovely hotel would recommend to anyone. more
