Booked a five day break with Shearings and stayed at the Burlington Hotel in Eastbourne. Our overall eperience of this hotel was good. The staff were helpful and plesant ( special thanks to our waiter Csaba) and the food was very good too. The room we had was newly refurbished and the bed linen was clean. Our only complaint about... Back again to the Burlington this year and again had a lovely five days. We were in an upgraded room which was very nice, however the modern wardrobe was quite small with only half the width as hanging space, ok for a few days only, but not any longer. As always the hotel staff were exceptional and everyone was polite... More

Nice hotel, friendly staff. Wheelchair access could be easier, you have to ask to be let in through the restaurant fire exit door. Lift will JUST take a wheelchair, other lift is too small for a wheelchair. Room was very large, with four poster bed, (premium room so did pay a surcharge, but worth it). Food was mainly passable, except... More

I have just returned from a 4 night self drive break at this hotel with my sister and brother in law. I had a nice refurbished double room with very comfortable bed. The room was very clean and had been refurbished to a fairly high standard. There was a good choice of food at breakfast and the service was good... More

Went with shearings coach holidays, hotel was clean and most importantly was nice and warm, unlike the royal in Whitby which was very cold, check in was quick, and first impression of the room, was that the bathroom was a bit tired, having said that there was always plenty hot water, the room was very clean and tidy, the heating... Walked into what looked like a nice reception area which reminded me of grand days gone by. Like a giant Victorian Fawlty Towers. I liked the look of it. We approached the reception to book a night, only to be told by the unreceptive female receptionist that it wasn't worth their while so we should go away and book online!!... More

Went in to just make a booking at hotel, but was met by a very unfriendly woman on the front desk. Told straight away that we had to 'go online to book a room as it was not possible on their system '. When actually standing in their reception area, you would expect to actually be booked in right away,... More

Having booked via Laterooms at £35 for B&B, the hotel is very easy to find (sat nav works) and the car park - which has CCTV - is situated in the road at the back of the hotel which runs parallel to Grand Parade. The rear entrance to the hotel is across the road from the car park and saves... More
