A good base for access to the city and the various bays near by. With the 3G signal being poor at best the rooms would benefit from WIFI. Turning the bathroom into a wet room would make more sense in the long term, rather than having to shower in a small bath tub.. The staff were always happy to help.

Executive room has kettle on carpeted floor, lead too short. No wi-fi. Bathroom dangerous with more water from shower down wall than through hose. Tap loose on sink. Windows do not open. Housekeeping inadequate, dirty, not cleaned all week and " run out" of hospitality items. Did not have the bottle to try evening meal. Lack of management overseeing the... More

Just returned from a one night stay at Norton House as had been in Swansea for a wedding. Wish we had extended our stay at the Marriott in Swansea. Norton House was once a fine building but now tired and run down. It states that all bedrooms have been refurbished - not No8 - just like a previous reviewer the... More

80th Birthday Lunch at Norton House . We travelled from Chester and arrived at Noon.I forgot to ask if we could have an early check in but it was not a problem. Our rooms were checked and within 10 mins we were shown to them. The Lunch was Very good and the service was superb. We had not booked Dinner... More

Stayed recently over night, was a last minute booking as all other hotels were full. The location is good, off the main road and walkable to everywhere in the mumbles. Bedroom was very tired and desperately in need of a revamp, bathroom was clean but bath panel was cracked and hot water tap kept turning around! Shower very powerful but had to be careful... More

My husband and I visited Swansea and decided to stay a night on the spur of the moment. I called in to this hotel and although I was seen through a window behind the desk the staff kept chatting, not about work, for a considerable time. Eventually a casually dressed young lady came out I was told the room rate,... More

I don't know how they can justify calling this a "luxury" hotel. It is tatty and rundown. The exterior is uncared for with paintwork peeling badly in places, the grounds untidy and obviously not swept or cleaned. The room was dirty - stained carpet, dust on the skirting boards and on the furniture - and needs a complete renovation: the... More

I was excited that the family had booked afternoon tea as part of my 50th birthday celebrations. The event was a real disappointment. The sandwiches were very ordinary, and nothing to get excited about, but the real let down to me we're the cakes -not one was home made. A strange selection including one small chocolate eclair had seen better days,... More

Great surrounding and grand atmosphere. Very polite and welcoming staffs. Highly recommended. You can take apartment if you want to cook on your own. Very clean kitchen and utensils. Restaurant is also good in case you don't like to cook. I will recommend sea food items from the restaurant.

Five of us made the trip to Mumbles and shared two rooms. The three of us that were in a ground floor, two bedroom apartment enjoyed the freedom of catering our own breakfast whilst the other couple had a double room which included buffet breakfast in the hotel. We all appreciated the hotel's recent refurbishment although the hot water system... More
