St Svithuns hotel is part of the University Hospital. It's a strange set-up: the reception to the Hotel is also the reception to the hospital. But I like the unusual to this in itself did not deter me. But as a hotel, it is neither particularly comfortable, nor particularly good value - though these things are relative. Norway is an... This is the cheapest hotel we can find in Stavanger. The room was very clean and the price was included breakfast as well. The breakfast was really good. However, the location is not that good becase it's about 3 km from the center and sometimes the helicopter was flying around so it was a bit noise. For budget traveller, I... More

A late flight in to Stavanger and an early departure the following morning meant we just needed a bed for the night, shower in the morning and breakfast. This was the cheapest option I could find for my wife and I and our 3 teenage sons. The reception is in the hospital entrance and parking is to the right of... More

I got so furious that I write review even before I check out. We arrived yesterday night and paid for 2 nights by cash for 8 beds dormitory. The brown hair girl on the reception received our money and said the beds are booked for us and gave the room key to us. But today, another yellow hair girl on... More

very good value for Money for Norway - £70 per night for B&B for 3 people. Good standard, clean and a very good breakfast. About 30 mins walk to the centre (or 10 mins bus ride). A good choice for an overnight stay.

A decent hostel and room, excellent WiFi and breakfast that included great breads, fresh fruit, a variety of yogurts and much more. There is a convenient supermarket just a couple streets away. The only weaknesses I found were three: 1) St Svithun's location is a 31 NOK ticket each way from Stavanger’s Central Business District or a 25-minute walk; 2)... More

I stayed there instead of the hospital after my child was born and was not happy with the service. The food is not good, the rooms don't even have a pen & paper, there is nothing to make tea or coffee in the room and you have to pay for extra pillows. They change the sheets only every 3rd day... Booked early in the year and was the cheapest hotel for 3 nights. Single bed with desk and a couple of chairs, tv, shower room with toilet and sink. I saw this room only at night and it was exactly what I needed. Great buffet breakfast with different eggs, meat and cheeses, breads, cereals, jucies and coffee. And a shop... More

This is like many before me have mentioned a part of the Stavanger Central hospital. However, the rooms are ok and the hotel is nice and quiet, except for the lobby which is right next to a kiosk and the hospital's main entrance. Great service by the staff though! In other words, for business it's sufficient, for any other sort... More

We were on the way for the Preikestolen hike, when we had to stay overnight in stavanger. We could get the only place to stay here (though very expensive). I must say that the hotel has nice rooms and scenic views outside. But coming from a very cheerful city like Bergen, we were depressed to see out hotel attached to... More
