I've had the pleasure of staying at a few hotels in Stavanger. The SAS Royal is one of the better hotels. It is centrally located a few minutes walk (down a steep hill!) to the harbour area. The hotel is a little dated inside but very functional. Some rooms face into an atrium and some face out onto the streets.... more

Stayed here 3 days on a buissness trip. The room was nice with a comfortable bed and a working desk. This Radisson hotel is newer than the Radisson Atlantic one just down the street and I would recommend this of the two. Great location, only a 5 minutes walk to downtown. Great breakfast and I liked the pool/sauna area as... more

The hotel got what a business traveller needs, good rooms, good beds, good location and good internet connections. The hotel is very, very expensive by Norwegian standard. On the other hand it is quality. The question is what about value for money? One negative aspect is that some of the rooms are facing the inside open area, and hence can't... more

Stayed here while in town for an oil & gas conference. Nice place, warm bathroom tiles, free wifi, large bed. Overall I had a pleasant stay. I've read negative comments on the location, but I think it is great. Yes, it is on a hill that you must go down to get to town, but this is easy and quick.... more

I have a lot of relatives in Stavanger, and therefore I have been there many times - and tried some of the hotels there. And this hotel is definetly the best one in town. The staff is amazing, so warm and welcoming. I also find the hotel very nice and peaceful. If you have stayed at Radisson SAS hotels before,... more

This place is ok for a short stay, but if you are in town for more than a few nights look elsewhere. I found the rooms small, noisey and uncomfortable. Breakfast is a very nice buffet selection which seems to be free to all guests. Staff were extremely pleasant. However I didn't find this place good enough for a business... more

Arrived here during the first snowstorm in Stavanger of the Winter. The hotel is on a steep hill leading down to the harbour area (about a 5 minute walk). The next few days were challenging as I slipped and shuffled my way into town everyday - I found to my cost that Stavanger has many steep hills with no hand... more

I booked this hotel because it had a swimming pool but it was so cold I couldn't use it. The water was freezing the jacuzzi wasn't much better and even the changing rooms were too cold. Up a steep hill from town and wouldn't stay there again as it wasn't worth the extra. more

Very ordinary indeed. I had an upgraded 'business' room, which was no better than a standard room in most four stars. Up a steep hill from the city centre. Nothing to write home about. more

Bra Radisson standard med bra frukost förutom fruktjuice. När skall finare hotell i Norden börja servera färskpressad Juice? Dumsnålt!!! more
