Nice rooms with modern village design. All you need from apartments. Warm to sleep with heater. Quite. Great view in the morning - waterfalls and roofs with grass. Not so many guests in August. Wonderful hotel in the middle of nowhere. Beautiful rooms and WONDERFUL beds and linens. Breakfast is included, which alone probably pays for the rooms as food in Norway is so expensive. Only negative is that it was a bit hot at night in the summer - a fan would have been nice.

Fabulous location. Accommodation interesting and spotlessly clean. Breakfast outstanding. Hospitality really nice. Dinner was disappointing - perhaps it would be better when the season starts and the kitchen is really going.

Byrkjedalstunet is a bit off the beaten track. (GPS position N58.77990 E6.31684). It is on route 45, which leads through valleys and over mountains. Closed in winter! As a hotel it is unusual in that the rooms are in individual small and old houses, collected from the surrounding area. The insides, especially the bathrooms, are very modern, though. And, there...
